Figments Yaksu is a ground-floor sourdough bakery and café, the first thing you see coming out of exit 10 at Yaksu station. Six posts copy out much the same description — levain starter, organic flour, French butter, baked and sold the same day with no improvers. Three note it was opened by a speciality coffee roaster; one mentions a second branch in Euljiro. It is a daytime place only: in the evening the same room becomes a wood-fired pizzeria under a different name, which is a separate business and is not counted here. It is known for its pastries — croissants, pain au chocolat — and for a pecan-gorgonzola baguette; five writers came after seeing it on a celebrity's channel. The posts we read run from January to September 2026.

  Three posts note the shop was opened by a speciality coffee roaster; all three pass it on as something they read.

  Five writers pair it with bread. "Nutty, the acidity in balance"; one could not wait and drank it on the way home. A pair of iced ones came to ₩9,000, which squares with ₩4,500 a cup.

  **The one thing here people disagree about.** A baguette spread thick with gorgonzola cream and studded with candied pecans. Three writers came for this alone after seeing it online.

  Of the four who ate it, **two loved it and two did not.** For: "spread right to the ends", "the pecans give it crunch". Against: "the funk was too strong — I ate half a piece and left", and "I could not see the gorgonzola and the texture was whipped cream; I wanted it dense." A fifth writer notes people seem split on it. **It sells out often** — two writers failed to get one, and one of them had driven over, went home empty-handed and came back the following week.

  **One regular says this is the only thing she comes for.** She ordered a mont blanc the same day and found it no more than fine. Two others praise the fineness of the layers, crisp outside and soft within.

  All four who ordered it liked it — one of the few things here nobody argues about. "The cream is not too sweet"; "I should have taken more home." The one who tried the black-sesame version says it is packed with it.

  The house basic. Four posts repeat the same line about a K-pop singer naming it her favourite croissant — all four pass it on as hearsay, none as something they were told in the shop.

  **It can be gone by the afternoon** — two writers arrived around one o'clock to find it sold out. Three describe visible layers, crisp outside and chewy within. The ₩4,500 is the same on a January 2026 menu board photo and in a September post.

  Ham folded into the pastry. Two writers say they ordered it simply because they had never seen the name before.

  One writer was surprised how much ham is in it; two say it is salty but not too salty. "I would eat this for breakfast every day."

  A crisp square danish with a mountain of chestnut cream on top. **A mugwort version sits beside it at the same price.**

  Two of the three who ordered it called it the best thing on their table — nutty, gently sweet, never sugary. One found a few blueberry-compote beads inside that cut the richness. A fourth writer, who says only "the mont blanc", found it no better than expected — she does not say whether it was the chestnut or the mugwort one.

  One likes it for having no sourness; another finds it fragrant beside the bread but would want an extra shot.

  A croissant split and filled with ham, cheese and leaves — closer to a meal than a pastry, as one writer puts it.

  **Not one writer gives a price.** One says it comes heaped with rocket; another, "plain honest ingredients, but it tasted like something eaten abroad." **It sells out** — one writer went for it, found none left, and bought plain buns to make her own the next morning.

  The name appears on neither the bread list nor the coffee list in the menu-board photo another writer took. We leave it as it stands.

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.

Getting inside

We know nothing about the step at the door. In fifteen posts the words wheelchair, pushchair, threshold, ramp and step do not appear once. That it is beside the station exit, several say; whether there is a lip at the entrance, none of them looked. Wi-fi and power sockets go unmentioned too — one writer thought it looked like a good place to sit and work, but does not say she saw a socket.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 16 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• Two businesses share this address. By day the ground floor at 193 Dongho-ro is the bakery; from five in the evening the same room trades as a separate wood-fired pizza and wine place. Because the street address is identical, thirteen of the thirty posts collected here turned out to be reviews of the evening restaurant, and we removed all thirteen. Everything on this page — hours, menu, prices, seating — is the daytime bakery only. If you are going for the pizza, this page cannot help you.
• The hours moved earlier in the spring of 2026. Every post written between January and March gives ten to half past five on weekdays, nine to six at weekends. Every post from July onwards gives the same thing instead: half past eight to half past four, daily. In between, in April, the evening pizza service started in the same room. This is not a disagreement but a change — the most recent post we read, from 20 September, still says half eight to half four. No post mentions a weekly closing day.
• Come in the afternoon and the thing you wanted may be gone. Six writers record a miss: no pecan-gorgonzola around noon on a Saturday, no plain croissant at one o'clock, no sandwiches left at weekend lunchtime. One drove over, found it sold out, went home and came back the following week. Four posts say the bread comes out at ten in the morning; one writer phoned first and timed her visit. Another arrived before opening as the first customer — the bread was not out yet, but they took her order ahead.
• Not one writer describes queueing. The evening pizza restaurant at this address generates a great deal of waiting-list talk, but those are a different business's posts and we removed them all. For the daytime bakery nobody records a queue — though two record no free seat: one found the room full at ten on a Saturday morning, another found a single empty chair at weekend lunchtime and took her order away. Whether you have to wait here, we cannot say.
• Nor the floor and the stairs. The registered address and the check-in widget both carry "1F", and the writers copy that line out; none of them records with her own eyes whether there are steps, or whether the door opens straight off the pavement. That several posts read as though they walked in from the street is as much as we can say. The one exception is the toilet, which one writer places on the third floor — by stairs or by lift, she does not say.
• Not one post declares a sponsorship. We went through the bodies and the trailing hashtags; the usual words never appear. Two writers state that they paid themselves, one of them with a photo of the receipt. There is no cluster of near-identical posts from a single day either — the fifteen are spread evenly across January to September 2026, and fifteen posts means fifteen people. One of them is an estate agent's blog, which we kept: it records menu-board prices, the state of the chairs and which floor the toilet is on, all first-hand.
