Japanese

Yosyoku Seoulsup Bonjeom

요쇼쿠 서울숲 본점 Yoshoku (洋食) is the Japanese word for Western dishes as Japan remade them — omurice, tonkatsu, hamburg steak — which is what this menu is built on.

Compiled from 26 blog posts read in fullSources →

A yoshoku place — Japanese-style Western food — on the second floor of a building in the Seoulsup 4-gil lanes. One menu covers tonkatsu, omurice, hamburg steak, curry, rice bowls and ramen, mostly priced 10,900–16,900 won (pork-loin cutlet 10,900, tonkatsu omurice 12,900, mixed cutlet set 16,900). Many diners add a mini ramen to a main, or take a ramen-plus-cutlet set for 13,900. You order on a tablet at the table and help yourself to kimchi, pickled radish, cabbage salad and soup at a self-serve bar. We read 30 posts dated 16 September to 2 October 2026 and count the 26 that describe eating here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. You order from your seat: thirteen posts ordered and paid on a tablet or kiosk fixed to the table. One notes the set meals appear only on the tablet, not on Naver's menu; another mentions a separate 'call staff' button.
  2. A queue forms from around noon. Six posts waited or saw a queue; five walked straight in. Two give times: about 10 minutes behind five groups at 1 pm on a weekday, and about 20 minutes. Two arrived at opening, sat at once, and watched a queue start at noon; one found the place full at 7 pm, registered on the CatchTable machine at the door and went shopping until a message called them back. Those who walked in came on weekdays or off-peak, such as 2:10 pm.
  3. Nineteen posts call the coating crisp and ten call the meat thick. Two liked the strip of fat left on the loin cutlet. One post found the tonkatsu disappointing.
  4. Thirteen posts call it cheap and none call it expensive, several comparing it with Seoul Forest prices. Three people paid 43,700 won for a mixed cutlet set, a seared-salmon bowl and basil ramen; two paid 29,800 won for two mains and a melon ade.
4 more
  1. Ten posts call the portions large — the tonkatsu omurice comes with a whole cutlet rather than a garnish, and the mixed cutlet set with rice was called huge.
  2. Six posts mention big windows and good light; one wall of the second floor is glass, and window seats look down on the lane.
  3. It is only hot if you ask: omurice and curry come in a spicy version. The two posts that chose it said the spicy demi-glace was far hotter than expected and the spicy curry was on a par with Buldak noodles.
  4. Six posts came as a couple, three with friends, one as a family with a baby and one alone. The family post says there is no baby tableware, but staff brought a child's fork on request.

Getting inside

Second floor15 of 26 posts
Lift to the flooryes 0 · no 1 (of 26 posts read)

No post describes getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One says the building has no lift and you must take the stairs; three more mention climbing stairs. Nobody mentions a step at the door — we simply don't know.

No post says where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions split on space: nine posts found it roomy with well-spaced tables; three found it smallish, one saying you can hear the next table. Those who counted put it at about ten tables — four or five two-tops and five four-tops.
  • Eighteen posts list hours, almost all 'daily 11:30–21:00, break 15:00–17:00, last order 20:00', with Monday last order at 19:40 — all copied from the shop's listing. One says closed at weekends, yet another post ate there at 1:30 pm on a Saturday; one gives opening as 11:00. One post notes dishes close as ingredients run out and the shop has shut early on such a day. Eight posts give the same phone number, 0507-1476-0390; one booked ahead through Naver or CatchTable.
  • Sell-outs are common: six posts found dishes gone — the tenderloin cutlet, omurice, the new Fukuoka pork steak — and visitors at 1:30 pm on a Saturday or in the evening found many items off.
  • Prices vary slightly between posts: the tenderloin cutlet is 12,900 won in a 20 Sept menu list and a 2 Oct order; the salmon bowl is 15,900 in lists but 15,000 in the post that ate it; tomato ramen is 10,900 or 9,900. A 22 Sept diary says prices seemed to have risen in the past few days, but nobody says what or by how much, so we have not recorded a price change.
  • All 30 posts fall within 17 days (16 Sept – 2 Oct) and share near-identical 'Seongsu lunch / Seongsu date' titles. Two disclose a free meal voucher, four say they paid, the rest are silent. One post stitched together sentences from two others almost verbatim, so we don't count it as a visit. We set aside a post about the Giheung outlet branch and two posts about other places that merely link here.
