Yakkidori Jeong

야끼도리정 Yakkidori is a Korean spelling of yakitori, Japanese charcoal-grilled chicken skewers; the posts do not explain the 'Jeong' that follows.

A yakitori bar in a side street off Sangwon 1-gil in Seongsu, near Ttukseom Station. The owner grills skewers at the counter and serves them plate by plate; you order a six-skewer set (21,000 won), a thirteen-skewer set (45,000 won) or single skewers at 3,500-4,000 won. Posts say there is no soju, but draft beer, highballs, Hwayo, sake and shochu. We read 8 posts from March 2025 to July 2026. Two were about other places (Ganbbai in Seongsu and a same-named yakitori bar in Busan) and were set aside; one only repeated review statistics. Five describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Of the four visit posts that discussed price, three called it expensive. One was startled by the prices, one said both skewers and drinks ran high, and one found it a little pricey. All three added that the ingredients and grilling were good.
  2. Two posts said the skewers are not large. One that ordered the thirteen-skewer set called the size ordinary; another called the skewers modest and was surprised how small the mushroom was. No post said portions were generous.
  3. Two posts, from March 2025 and May 2026, say you must order at least three skewers per person; one adds that with sets you just pick one sized for your party.
  4. Seating is mostly at the counter, with some tables: two posts mention both a bar and four-person tables, and two say the open kitchen lets you watch the grilling. One called it a small room.

One visitor says one car fits in the marked space in front, and points to the Seongsu library public lot as the nearest alternative. Another post's 'parking in front' line was copied from a listing.

Getting inside

Separate restroomsyes 0 · no 1 (of 5 posts read)

No visitor described which floor it is on; only the address says ground floor.

No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is no barrier.

We don't know whether the toilet is inside the bar. One post only said it is unisex and clean.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 6 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Whether it is quiet depends on the crowd. Two posts found it quiet (one was the only table on a weekend), while one said a loud group at another table was hard to bear until they left.
  • The only company mentioned is friends, in two posts. Nobody wrote about going alone or on a date; one post just noticed solo drinkers there.
  • No post describes waiting for a seat; one from March 2025 says there was no wait, the rest don't mention it. One post advises ordering several skewers at once because grilling takes time.
  • Three posts give the same hours: Monday to Saturday 6 pm to midnight, closed Sundays. Two of them copied a listing; only one, from March 2025, wrote it themselves.
  • Prices come from different dates: the six-skewer set at 21,000 won and draft beer at 6,500 won from March 2025, the thirteen-skewer set at 45,000 won and highballs at 8,000-10,000 won from June 2026, Hwayo at 28,000 won from May 2026. No post gave a total bill.
  • Two posts list the phone number 0507-1330-5382, both copied from a listing. Nobody says whether the bar takes reservations.
