Uil Mungtigi Dubeonjjae Iyagi

우일뭉티기 두번째이야기 Mungtigi is the Daegu way of serving raw beef in thick chunks; 'dubeonjjae iyagi' means 'the second story' — posts describe this as the second shop after the original Wooil Mungtigi.

Compiled from 24 blog posts read in fullSources →

Wooil Mungtigi Dubeonjjae Iyagi is a raw-beef drinking spot on Wangsimni-ro 4-gil in Seongsu-dong, a short walk from Ttukseom Station exit 7. In the evening people dip mungtigi (27,000 won for a small plate) in salt, sesame oil and a house sauce, and add raw brisket (32,000 won), the shrimp-and-beef jeon called yuksaejeon, and sushi rice. Lunch is beef bone soup (from 10,000 won), perilla-oil yukhoe bibimbap (11,000 won) and shabu-shabu. Since August 2026 it closes on Sundays. We read 26 posts from 5 July to 30 September 2026; two were about other restaurants and set aside, and all 24 remaining describe a visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. It is close to the station. Fourteen posts describe walking from Ttukseom Station exit 7, putting it anywhere from 30 seconds to about five minutes. Several say to turn right out of the exit and look for the black facade with the big Wooil sign.
  2. A soup arrives as soon as you order. Sixteen posts mention it as complimentary, usually seaweed soup with plenty of beef, though some call it beef-and-radish soup; one lunch post got bone-broth soup with the bibimbap. The side dishes are repeatedly carrot salad, macaroni salad and pickled peppers, and one regular says they refill the carrot salad once or twice every visit.
  3. Nine posts mention the review event: leave a review and you get sushi rice, brisket ramyeon or a pollock-roe gimbap. Several put mungtigi on the free rice and ate it like sushi. One post says the condition was two Naver reviews plus an Instagram tag.
  4. Six posts mention the windows: folding doors or full glass that are opened on cool evenings, so it feels like eating outdoors.

  1. Posts count the tables a little differently: seven four-seat tables; six four-seat tables plus one group table; about eight; about nine two- and four-seat tables. The middle tables are pushed together for groups, and one post arrived to find them joined for a group booking.
  2. No post says they had to wait. One walked straight in around 5:40 pm on a Friday; another found the room full but one table free. One post says weekends always have a queue and another that evenings may, but neither actually waited. Three posts say you can book; one booked on Naver for a Sunday lunch.

Nobody mentions whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means we do not know, not that there is none. One post says it is on the ground floor, and the toilet is outside, as noted above.

The toilet is outside the restaurant. Four posts say so; three of them note it is unisex and one calls it rather cramped. Others say it is around the left side of the building, needs no code, and was cleaner inside than expected.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • On price, four posts lean toward good value (an 89,000-won course for two called very reasonable, a 4,000-won taster) and one says it is a bit expensive. The yuksaejeon price is split: five posts say 9,900 won and two say 17,000 won, including two posts from the same day, 23 September 2026. We cannot tell whether these are different sizes. Two people ordering a small mungtigi and one side spent around 40,000 won.
  • Opinions on size differ: one post calls it spacious, three call it small or not large, and one says neither cramped nor roomy. That last post could barely hear its own conversation over a work dinner nearby, while three others found it quiet enough to talk.
  • On service, one post felt slightly put off each time it asked for something and another praised the staff; the rest did not discuss it.
  • Opening hours changed between late July and 11 August 2026. July posts list Sunday hours of 12:00 to 21:00, and one visited for Sunday lunch; posts from 11 August on say it closes every Sunday. Weekdays 11:00 to 23:00 (break 15:00 to 17:00, last order 22:00) and Saturdays 13:00 to 22:00 (last order 21:00) appear the same in many posts, all copied from listings. One post gives a weekday last order of 20:20 and another a weekday opening of 11:30. One post was told mungtigi is usually served only after 5:30 pm.
  • Of the posts that say who they came with, five came with friends, one with a work team and one by car. None came with children.
  • Many posts are promotional: two disclose sponsorship, one was a review-group invitation, two say they paid, and nineteen say nothing. A cluster repeats the same hashtags and the same order (small mungtigi, yuksaejeon, sushi rice), so we treat the shop's own claims such as same-day slaughter and Jeolla-do Hanwoo as copied, not as evidence.
  • Most posts give the phone number as 0507-1322-6161; one lists a different number starting with 064. Listings copied into posts say bookings go through Naver and CatchTable. The buldak-mayo buckwheat noodles were no longer served as of a 21 July 2026 post.
