뚝섬포구 Ttukseom Pogu shellfish grilled for you on a dressed-up boat deck by Ttukseom station
Other · Seongdong-gu, Seongsu-dong 1-ga
Updated · Published
A shellfish grill and steam house two or three minutes from exit 7 at Ttukseom station, dressed as a boat: shells and vintage tins outside, staff ranked as captain, mate and crew. The staff grill everything — six writers say so, and not having to sit in the smoke is why they choose it. The grill comes in two or three rounds, with cheese-topped scallop, tteokbokki and two pastas alongside, and a clam soup arrives free to start. In autumn the live prawns lead — pull the heads off yourself for the raw ones, and they grill the heads separately. What leads changes with the season: oysters in winter, webfoot octopus in spring, prawns in autumn. It is the fourth restaurant in a group called Misikilga, with a sibling in Seongsu proper. Since it appeared on the television show Ttogan-jip, there is a queue — thirty-five minutes to an hour on a weekend evening.

What sets it apart
- Seven writers queued and six did not, and the split is clean: it is the day and the hour. Queued: an hour on a weekend evening, thirty-five minutes on a Friday after work, over an hour on a weekday evening, a room that filled as the night went on, a party who watched everyone behind them made to wait. One writer gave up and left on an earlier attempt, the show having just aired. Everyone who walked in has a reason: a Monday, when all of Seongsu is quiet; half past six on a weekday; early on a weekday evening; late on a weekday evening. One writer experienced both — over an hour on her first visit, an empty room on her second. One writer asked and wrote down the most useful thing: Thursday around seven is the busiest, so book for that. Booking now exists — a November 2025 post states flatly that there are no reservations and it is walk-in only, while five 2026 posts booked through Naver (two to four people online, groups up to eight by phone). It reads as a place that added reservations. Tables seat four at most — four writers note it, and one adds that parties of ten or more cannot be joined up and will be split.
- Having someone else grill the shellfish is the point of this place, and it brings in people who otherwise avoid shellfish. Six writers describe it — one says it is why she can never leave; another that she never had to breathe the smoke and only had to pick things up; a third that the staff handle every last one. The rounds are composed: not one heap but two or three servings in order, cheese-topped scallop first, tteokbokki in foil, the two pastas on the last tray. One writer calls it "a shellfish omakase." Which makes the cleaning the crux — one writer admits grit is precisely why she normally avoids shellfish, and found none here. Another puts it honestly: she bit down on no sand that night, and it would be a lie to promise you never will. The prawns work the same way: you shell the raw ones yourself, but hand back the heads and they grill them for you.

Getting there

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.
Getting inside
Nobody writes about wheelchair or pushchair access. None of the twenty-eight mentions a ramp or a step. Several establish that it is on the ground floor with a tank outside, which suggests you enter straight from the street, but whether there is a step, we do not know. Three count seven to ten tables, mostly for four; nobody says how much room there is between them. Call 010-5627-9282.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- We put no opening hours in the table, because they changed twice in three years and the posts record the changes. 2023–24: Monday to Saturday 11:30–23:30 with an afternoon break. Late 2025: weekdays 11:00–24:00 with a break, Saturday from 16:00, Monday 17:00–22:30. July–August 2026: daily 16:30–23:30, the daytime service gone. September 2026: daily 11:30–23:30 with a weekday break — it came back. And an August post carries the announcement: from September, weekday lunch (clam kalguksu) and Sunday opening. We especially did not publish "closed Sundays." Eleven writers say it, which makes it the sturdiest figure we have — but the August announcement and the September "daily" come after them. Publishing the eleven would mean telling you not to come on a day the restaurant now opens. Check before you go: this looks like a place that opens and closes its daytime service with the season. Three phone numbers appear across the years. We used the one six writers give (2025), which is not the most recent. Prices rose — ₩46,900 for two on the grill in November 2023, ₩57,900 from October 2025, with the steamed sizes quoted differently across posts. Read them with their dates. There is no parking, though we did not confirm it. More than ten posts say so, all in the information block, and nobody describes parking. Two name the nearby public car park. Ten put it two to five minutes from the station; take the subway. The television win is not something we verified. More than ten posts mention it, but what they saw was the poster and the standing sign the restaurant put out. We do not doubt the broadcast; we count what the writer saw, and seeing a poster is seeing what the shop hung up. Small things: no pets. There is a phone charger at every seat. The review promotion requires paying first — a draw for a bottle of soju, or an extra octopus. One writer found some of the staff less than friendly; three praise them.
- Nobody writes about floors or stairs. The address is the ground floor and all twenty-eight posts leave it there. One notes a Thai restaurant on the second floor of the same building, but nothing suggests this restaurant uses an upstairs. What is recorded of the room: seven to ten tables, mostly for four, parties of five or more seated separately, ten or more unable to be joined up, and a "ship's deck" fit-out of shells, vintage tins and small figures. There are no private rooms.
- The name and the premises appear to have changed, but only one writer says so — a September 2026 post records that it used to be called something else in Seongsu, that the name changed and the place moved before becoming the present Ttukseom Pogu. Our oldest post is from November 2023 and already gives this address and this name, so whatever changed happened before that and we cannot confirm it. What the other posts do establish: this is the fourth restaurant of a group called Misikilga, with a sibling, Seongsu Budu, elsewhere in Seongsu. One writer who has been to both calls them similar (in a post we excluded). So be careful not to read another branch's review as this one — we removed one such post ourselves.
- Nobody mentions the toilets. None of the twenty-eight says whether they are in the restaurant or in the building. It is a ground-floor unit with another restaurant above and seven to ten tables, so it may well use the building's — but that is our inference, not a record. One excluded post about a sibling branch does photograph its toilet; that is a different restaurant in another district, so we did not carry it over.
