Tamlong
탐롱 Tam long is Vietnamese (tấm lòng) for a kind, warm heart — the shop's own introduction says the name means 'a good heart'.
Compiled from 23 blog posts read in fullSources →
Tam Long is a Vietnamese place on the ground floor of a side street in Seongsu-dong 1-ga (Wangsimni-ro 14-gil 25), a short walk from Ttukseom Station, and it also serves Thai dishes such as pad thai, som tam, kaprao and shrimp croquettes. The core is pho on a Korean-beef bone broth: today the beef pho is 11,000 won, the spicy beef pho 12,000 won, bun cha 12,000 won and pad thai 13,000 won (posts up to mid-April 2026 show both phos 1,000 won cheaper). Chili vinegar and sauces sit on every table, and a pickled side such as water-spinach stems comes with the meal. Lunch brings a queue of office workers; dinner adds beer and hotpots. We read 30 posts dated March 5 to September 23, 2026: one was about another restaurant and was dropped, five were not counted as visits, and 24 were counted as visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect to wait at lunch. Of the 14 posts that mention waiting, 12 say there was a queue. The only one to give a time waited about 10 minutes. There is no booking app; you write your name on a list at the door. Those who left the office early walked straight in — one tip says 10:55 is safe and by 11:30 it is full. One post arrived as the first dinner guest at 6pm on a weekday and saw a line form soon after.
- One post notes a spot by the entrance where you can wait in comfort.
- The room is small: all nine posts that mention its size say it is not large. Tables are mostly for two or four, and one family of four noted that four is the maximum — though one March post mentions a long table for groups. Two templated March posts calling the room spacious were not counted.
- Three posts say the kitchen is open to the room so you can watch the cooking. One sat at a window seat at sunset, and one mentions outdoor seats at the front.

- Six posts call it clean. The specifics: sauce bottles on the tables carry their opening date, and staff checked each table several times when clearing it.
- The fried sides are crisp: seven posts that ate the cha gio or shrimp croquettes said so. Cha gio is 5,000 won for two, the croquettes 6,000 won for three.
- Heat is a split verdict: four posts found dishes hot (the spicy shrimp rice soup, kaprao, the wings), one said the spicy beef pho is not that hot, and one was undecided. One diner could not finish the wings.
- Of seven posts that talk about portions, five found them generous; one relayed a colleague's complaint that the pho was too small. Extra noodles cost 1,000 won.
- Noodles at lunch, drinks at dinner: three posts drank or saw beer (Tiger draft, Vietnamese brands), and one spotted soju and Vietnamese vodka. Hotpots and stir-fried water spinach join the menu in the evening.
- Many writers came for a work lunch. Three went as a group of colleagues or friends, three as a couple, one with a friend and one with family.
- Three posts come from regulars — one on an nth visit, another who eats there now and then on lunch breaks.
- Walk from Ttukseom Station: seven posts say it is a short walk. One says three minutes from exit 2, another says near exit 1. It is tucked into a side street — look for the blue 'Noodle Bar' sign.

Assume no parking. Of the ten posts that mention it, two found nowhere to park at the shop — one used the Seongsu 1-ga 2-dong public lot five minutes away. The other eight just copied the listing's 'no parking'.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 23 posts read) |
|---|
No one described the floor from experience; we only have '1st floor' in the address, and we do not know whether there are steps on the way in.
No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means unknown, not no.
The toilet comes up once, in one post's info line: 'outside toilet, clean'. That suggests it is outside the dining room, but it is a single post, and no one says whether it is split by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices went up. Posts from March to mid-April 2026 show 10,000 won for the beef pho, 11,000 for the spicy beef pho and 11,500 for the spicy shrimp rice soup; from April 20 they read 11,000, 12,000 and 12,000. None of the twelve posts that give prices called it expensive, and three said it was fair. A bowl of pho comes to 11,000-12,000 won.
- Beef-tendon pho, plain and spicy, was added in April 2026. A May post lists it at 14,500 won and found the tendon pieces small and the taste no different from the regular bowl.
- Fourteen posts give the same hours: Monday to Saturday 11:00-22:00, break 15:00-17:30, closed Sundays, last order 20:30. Most copied them from the listing; one wrote 'daily' and 'closed Sundays' in the same line. A one-off dinner closure on Saturday, April 18 was also copied.
- Six posts give the same phone number, 0507-1385-4393. One copied 'reservations: yes' from the listing, but diners describe putting their name on a list at the door, so we could not confirm that booking works.
- Two March posts look like commissioned copy from one template — same info block, same three dishes, same sentences — and were not counted as visits. The '16-hour Korean-beef broth', the house-made cha gio and the meaning of the name are the shop's own claims, repeated by writers, so we do not rely on them.
