타코스퀘어 The name is simply the English words 'taco' and 'square' written in Korean letters.

Compiled from 5 blog posts read in fullSources →

A taco shop on the ground floor of an alley off Sangwon 1-gil in Seongsu-dong, near Ttukseom Station. People order birria tacos, shrimp tacos, quesadillas and chili cheese fries; pairs tend to take the two-person set (₩36,900 in a September 2026 post). We read 26 posts dated 27 May to 5 October 2026. Five are first-hand visits (one in June, one in August, three in September), one of them a takeout lunch on the way to Seoul Forest. Two are promotional posts that repackage the listing data, and the other 19 were about different places.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. This is a subway trip. Two visitors said they walked from Ttukseom Station: one put it at a minute's walk, the other at three to four minutes from Exit 7.
  2. It looks small, but the seating is mixed. Two visitors described it: about six tables plus solo seats (August), and group tables as well as a bar counter (June). A September visitor added that the tables are not spaced especially far apart.
  3. You order on a tablet at your seat and fetch forks and plates from a self-service station. One June visitor described this, along with a phone-charging corner on the left, and said the draft beer arrived first.
  4. A meat-heavy order can get rich. One visitor found the two-person set cloying by the end because of all the meat and recommended the shrimp taco instead. Another described the shrimp taco's sauce as sweet and mildly spicy.

Posts saying you cannot2 of 5 posts

There is no parking. Two visitors said so. One added that people park at the nearby Seongdong-gu Seongsu Library (first 30 minutes free, then ₩500 per 10 minutes), but that was passed along second-hand, so we don't count it.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 5 posts read)
Step at the entrance1 of 5 posts

It is on the ground floor, but you climb stairs to get in. The June visitor warned that it's easy to mistake for a basement shop: it isn't, and you have to go up the steps. That is the only post to mention the floor or the entrance.

No one said whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. The only note on the entrance is the June post saying you climb stairs.

No one mentioned the toilet: whether it is inside the shop or separated by gender is unknown.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 7 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opening hours appear only as copied listing text, and they disagree on the day off. Posts from June and August say open daily 11:30–21:00 with last order at 20:30; one September post says Monday to Saturday 11:30–21:00, closed Sundays. We can't tell whether Sunday closing is new or one side is wrong, so check before a Sunday visit.
  • The only price from an actual visit is ₩36,900 for the two-person set (September 2026). Other figures (birria taco ₩12,800, shrimp or chicken taco ₩11,900, single set ₩16,900, fajitas or taco platter ₩45,000) come from promotional posts copying the listing, so we don't rely on them. No one wrote down what a meal cost per person.
  • Two posts list the same phone number, 0507-1301-7980. Reservations appear only as 'bookable' in one copied info block; no visitor said they booked.
  • No one wrote about waiting for a table, either way. One August visitor said the food came quickly after ordering, but that's kitchen speed, not a queue. This means nobody mentioned it, not that there is no wait.
  • Posts don't settle who this place suits. One visitor got takeout with a friend, one came with a group of former colleagues, one came as a party of three, and the rest didn't say. No one reported going alone.
  • Two posts from May–June 2026 are promotional pieces built from the same template: the same '169 m from Exit 7' line, the same bar/2-top/4-top description, review counts and checklist, in the same order. Neither describes eating there, so we didn't count them.
