SSE SI BONG in Seongsu
쎄시봉 in 성수 Ssesibong in Seongsu C'est si bon is French for 'it's so good'; the name borrows from Cessibong, the 1960s Seoul music café, and the house plays old Korean pop and names its dishes after hit songs.

A retro music-café-style Western cutlet house on the third floor of an old building at 108 Wangsimni-ro, Seongdong-gu, a short walk from exit 8 of Ttukseom station. At lunch it serves pork cutlet (11,000 won), a mixed cutlet plate (12,500 won) and kimchi fried rice (9,000 won); in the evening it turns into a bar with highballs and plates like the Ssesibong Trio (18,000 won). Dishes are named after old Korean pop songs, and twelve posts say soup and toast with strawberry jam arrive before the meal. We read 25 posts from November 2024 to July 2026: two were about other places and set aside, one was an auto-generated compilation of reviews and not counted. The 22 first-hand visits run from November 2024 to October 2025; nothing after that.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Seating splits between bar counters and back rooms. Twelve posts describe where they sat: a window-side bar and a bar facing the kitchen near the door, with table rooms further in. Three posts mention the rooms and three booked or saw reserved tables; one says there are barely any tables unless you reserve one inside, and a party of six had a room to themselves. Three posts watched the cooking from the bar.
- Nine posts mention the window seats, which look over the main road from the third floor; people watch the street by day and the city lights at night. One regular always takes the window when there are two of them.
- Ten posts say the portions are large; one couple ordered two cutlets plus kimchi fried rice and could not finish. But three posts say the rice on the cutlet plate is small, and one diner asked for more rice once or twice.
- Six posts walked from Ttukseom station: two say two minutes from exit 8, one under five, one under ten. One warns the sign is easy to miss and that searching just 'Ssesibong' brings up other places.
2 more
- Two posts saw requests taken on sticky notes. Several copy the notice about a nightly 8 pm guess-the-song game; one post actually took part, won a glass of wine and sang along with other guests. Many posts mention old Korean pop from the 70s and 80s on the speakers.
- Six posts describe going back. Many come from office workers nearby at lunch; one solo diner sat at the counter with a melon soda, then returned for whisky, and called the cutlet nothing special but solid.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

The room is on the third floor, up a flight of stairs. Eleven posts describe climbing to the third floor, and one says there is no elevator, so you walk. Others call the stairs steep and cracked, in a very old building; several mention LP records and old singers' posters lining the stairwell.
No post describes getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One post says there is no elevator and another calls the stairs steep; we do not know of any step-free way up.
Only one post mentions the toilets: the women's is inside the restaurant and the men's is outside it. No other post says anything about them.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 18 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post describes waiting. One arrived at opening and was the first customer; another saw a lunchtime rush of office workers but no line. That is silence, not proof there is never a wait.
- All opening hours come from copied notices. Six posts give 11:00-23:00, five of them with a 14:30-17:00 break, and four say weekends open at noon. Two differ: a July 2025 post copied 11:00-15:00 and guessed the place now serves lunch only, and an April 2025 post gave 12:30-24:00 daily. An October 2025 post copied 11:00-23:00 again, so we cannot say whether evening service continues. No post names a closing day.
- Prices come from 2025 posts: pork cutlet 11,000 won (four visits), mixed cutlet 12,500 won (three), kimchi fried rice 9,000 won (two). Two posts call it easy on the wallet. With no visits after October 2025, we do not know current prices.
- Four visit posts give the same phone number, 0507-1345-9923. One says the inner table rooms need a reservation, so groups should call ahead.
- One May 2025 post was stitched together from platform reviews by an auto-publishing tool, its footer still showing. We did not count it, and its menu prices and amenity list are treated as copied, not as evidence.
