Seonchae Seongsu is a Korean restaurant in the basement of a red-brick building on an alley off Achasan-ro 1-gil, near exit 1 of Ttukseom Station. You sit at a U-shaped bar and order dishes in the 10,000-won range, such as hairtail and gondeure pot rice (16,000 won), mackerel with buckwheat noodles (16,000 won) and grilled marinated chicken (17,000 won). A perilla-oil spinach starter comes free. Staff mix the pot rice at your seat. One solo diner paid 45,000 won for pot rice, a salad and a tea cocktail. At dinner you must order a drink. There are branches with the same name in Yongsan, Anguk and Gwangju. We read 30 posts dated May 27 to October 5, 2026; 26 describe eating here. We set aside two that were about the Yongsan and Gwangju branches.

What sets it apart
- Every seat is at the bar: 12 posts describe a U-shaped bar counter, and none mentions separate tables. A party of four had to sit in a row; another post says groups of three are seated at a corner. Posts keep mentioning the big iron rice cauldrons in the middle. One post is from someone eating alone.
- At dinner you have to order a drink: 6 posts say so, and two give the time as after 5 pm. Whether that means one per person is unclear. Five posts just say a drink is required; one from July says a single drink is enough, and that pair ordered a zero-sugar cola and a non-alcoholic cocktail. Non-alcoholic tea cocktails (10,000 and 12,000 won) mean you don't have to drink alcohol.
- Nine posts either booked through CatchTable or tell you to. In May one writer found weekend slots full, joined the waitlist and got a seat that morning; a Sunday dinner in September was fully booked. Of the walk-ins, 2 posts had joined the remote queue in advance, and one walked straight in at 3–4 pm. Nobody says how many minutes they waited. Posts also say you aren't seated until your whole party arrives.
- The free starter is spinach in perilla oil and soy topped with toasted buckwheat. Nearly every post mentions it, and 3 say they got a second helping; one says staff happily bring more.

The restaurant is one floor below street level; 5 posts describe going down, including by the entrance stairs. Posts warn it is easy to walk past and dim enough that it can look closed even at lunch.
No one mentions a step, ramp, lift, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. We know there are stairs down from the entrance, but not whether there is any other way in.
Two posts say the toilet is inside the restaurant. No one says whether it is separated by gender or how big it is.

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices are mostly 11,000–17,000 won, with the pork at 23,000. Two posts call the prices reasonable; one called a 25,000-won glass of non-alcoholic tea wine scary. One post found the pot rice small, another found the food too much for one person, so how full you get depends on how many dishes you order. One post suggests three dishes for two people.
- Seven posts give opening hours, all copied from the listing. The six from July onward agree: 11:30 to 22:00, a weekday break from 15:00 to 17:00, no break at weekends, last order 21:00. The one May post says Tuesday to Friday with dinner from 17:30 and does not mention Monday. We can't tell whether the hours changed or it was copied wrong. One post ate here on a Monday at 5 pm in September. Nobody gives a closing day. Five posts give the same phone number, 0507-1430-4551, but most booked through CatchTable.
- Opinions differ. Many posts want to return, but one called the meal so-so and said not to bother, and another found the octopus salad and pork predictable.
