Bar

Sound Planet

사운드 플래닛 Saundeu Peullaenit The name is plain English, Sound Planet — fitting for a basement LP bar where, one post says, the owner picks the records and plays them himself.

Compiled from 6 blog posts read in fullSources →

An LP bar in a basement at 20 Seoulsup 6-gil, tucked into the side streets by Seoul Forest. It pours cocktails, whisky and draft beer, and popcorn comes free with drinks. On the September 2026 menu, cocktails ran 18,000–21,000 won and fries 10,000 won. We read 17 posts dated October 2025 to September 2026; 7 describe an actual visit. One post says the bar used to be called Old Knives, back when cigars were allowed.

What sets it apart

  1. Six of the seven visit posts mention the popcorn: freshly popped, one bag per table, filled to the brim, heavily seasoned. One post suggests just ordering a beer and snacking on it.
  2. Three posts note a range of seating — one mentions a large group table, another says the mix of tables suits couples and groups of coworkers alike.

Getting inside

In a basement2 of 6 posts

Two posts say you take stairs down to the basement; one notes a glass panel in the entrance floor that lets you glimpse the bar before going down.

Beyond the stairs down to the basement, no post says anything about steps, wheelchair or stroller access, or a lift. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is none.

No post says where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 9 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Posts disagree on noise: two found it quiet enough for easy conversation, one described a buzzing, crowded room. One post adds that it fills up after 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • One post found prices on the high side for the area. No post says what a night there cost per person.
  • Opening hours vary by post. Two 2026 posts give 6 p.m.–1 a.m. (one says closed Sundays, and that opening time drifts between 6 and 7); a post about a 2025 visit says 7 p.m.–2 a.m. with no days off. All of these are copied info lines, so check the bar's Instagram before going.
  • One post places it between Seoul Forest and Ttukseom stations, but nobody describes the walk from a station or bus stop.
  • No post reports queuing. One warns that weekend nights fill up and suggests arriving at opening. That is an absence of reports, not proof there is no wait.
  • Pet-friendly status appears only in two posts' copied info boxes. One post saw a dog wandering around inside, but it is unclear whether it belonged to the bar or a guest.
  • No post gives a phone number or says whether reservations are taken.
  • Six of the 17 posts were too long for us to read in full. Five were news digests, event lists or registries and were set aside; one, titled as a Seongsu date-night bar post, may be a visit but is not counted.
