PODONG PUDDING

포동푸딩 Podong Pudding Podong comes from podong-podong, a Korean word for plump and chubby, so the name reads roughly as 'chubby pudding'.

Compiled from 6 blog posts read in fullSources →

Podong Pudding's Seoul Forest shop sells handmade puddings at Seoulsup 2-gil 21, across from Pickbake. We read 23 posts dated 27 April to 4 October 2026. Seven of them describe buying or eating at this shop. The rest cover pop-up stalls at IPark Mall Yongsan, Lotte Jamsil and Connect Hyundai Cheongju, list-style roundups or delivery orders, and we set aside one about the Yongsan branch. In September 2026 a custard pudding here was 5,500 won and a pistachio cream pudding 6,500 won. An April post listed the matcha bear pudding at 8,500 won. Three of the seven visitors took their puddings to go, one of them eating in Seoul Forest park next door.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. This is mostly a buy-and-go shop. Three of the seven visitors took their puddings away. One weekday visitor noted that most customers left with takeaway, so the room stayed empty. Another walked over to Seoul Forest park to eat.
  2. There is little seating. Two posts describe eating inside: one counted about two tables, and the other called the room small but comfortable because they were the only customers. Both said it is not spacious.
  3. Besides puddings, the shop runs a rolled ice cream session on a cold plate. One August 2026 post paid 28,000 won for two and said it must be booked in advance. Three batches of ice cream, a pudding and a cheesecake left them very full.

Where it is

Map showing where PODONG PUDDING is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

No visitor described the floor. Only the address says ground floor.

No one mentioned a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we do not know, not that there is none.

No post said whether there is a toilet or where it is.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 21 posts we gathered, 15 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • On price the posts split one to one. One said it was expensive and only so-so, with a milky smell. Another, comparing it with bottled pudding in Japan, found the price reasonable. No post totalled a typical spend.
  • No visitor described the walk from a station or bus stop. One post has a location line saying five minutes on foot from Seoul Forest station exit 5, but it reads as copied information, so we did not count it.
  • No post describes waiting. One said they were the only customers. Another passed by earlier because it was crowded and came back later, but we do not know how long the line was.
  • Two visitors went with family (a mother, a sibling), and one each with a boyfriend, a friend and a child. That is too few to say who usually comes.
  • Opening hours appear in three posts, all copied information, and the opening time differs: two say 11:00 to 20:30 daily, one says 11:30 to 20:30. None mention a closing day. The hours in the pop-up posts belong to the malls, not this shop.
  • The only phone number is 0507-1345-9685, copied from listing information in one post. The only mention of booking concerns the ice cream session; we do not know whether puddings can be reserved.
  • The menu has changed. An April 2026 post says dango were on sale when the writer visited but no longer seem to be, and that the shop now sells Dubai chewy cookies instead.
  • Twelve of the posts, over half, are about department-store and mall pop-ups. The puddings are the same brand, but these are not this shop, so we did not use them for seating, parking, queues or hours. The Yongsan pop-up posts repeat the same lineup and the same prices.
