Pheromone is a dessert cafe on the third floor of a small building at Sangwon 2-gil 5 in Seongsu-dong. It is built around meringue cheesecakes with tall swirls of meringue and puddings served in wine glasses or on plates, with flavors that change by season. Slices ran 9,500 to 10,500 won, puddings 11,000 to 12,000 won, an Americano 5,500 won. Every guest must order a drink on top of any dessert, and seating time is capped. Many people come to pick up reserved whole cakes. We read 30 posts dated April 18, 2025 to September 27, 2026: 20 by people who went and ate or bought something, 7 that only introduced the place, and 3 we set aside because they were about other shops.

What sets it apart
- Ten posts noted that desserts do not count toward the one-drink-per-person rule. One writer felt gouged having to buy a drink on top of a pudding that already cost over 10,000 won; another found the rules fussy enough that one visit would do.
- Eight posts mention a seating time limit: five say 90 minutes, three say two hours. One September 2026 post quotes a notice of two hours, cut to 90 minutes on weekends and holidays, which may explain the split, though no other post spells it out that way. Four posts pass on a notice that laptops and tablets are not allowed.
- On weekdays people mostly walked straight in. Seven posts say they did not wait: six on weekday afternoons or off-peak, one on a Sunday at 4 p.m. One post saw a line form: they arrived just after 2 p.m. on a weekend, and by the time they left quite a few people were waiting. Four more say weekends and holidays get long waits, but only as something they had heard. Three mention chairs outside for waiting.
- Twelve posts call the room small. Those who counted seats wrote about six tables; a few seats by the counter plus three or four tables; four or five two-person tables. One sat at the bar. One found the chairs uncomfortable, and another said the tables line the windows so a group ends up sitting shoulder to shoulder.

- Four posts mention big windows: bright enough by day without the lights on, and window seats look down over the Seongsu alleys.
- Six posts took something away. Four reserved a whole cake in advance and picked it up; one was told the 3,000-won cooler bag keeps for three to four hours. It is up on the third floor, not below ground. Ten posts describe going up to the third floor, and two of them took the elevator. Several warn the place is easy to miss: one thought they had the wrong building because the entrance is a plain metal door, another said it felt like walking into an office-tel.
No one wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Two posts mention the elevator; beyond that we simply do not know.
Two posts say the restroom is inside the cafe; nobody said whether it is split by gender. A line reading "restroom inside the building" in one info block was copied, so we did not count it.

What we do not know
- All the opening hours we have were copied from listings. Fifteen posts agree it opens at noon. Closing time varies: five say 9 p.m. every day, six say 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, three just give 9 p.m., and one gives 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. None of the posts by people who went mention a last order or a closing day.
- Read prices by date and item. The Sachertorte meringue cheesecake was 10,000 won in February and July 2026 but 9,500 won in June, so there is no clear trend. One post gives the strawberry-banana pudding at 11,500 won; another says it was market-priced with no price shown. A September 2026 post had heard prices crept up, without saying by how much.
- Nine posts give the same phone number, 0507-1332-3915. The line that whole cakes are reserved through Naver, with same-day orders by phone, comes from copied listings. One post advises booking whole cakes at least a day ahead.
- Seven posts introduce the cafe without a visit. Four of them rework Naver listing data in the same stock phrases (125 m from Exit 5 of Ttukseom Station, the strawberry-chocolate pudding and matcha-strawberry cake), so we did not rely on them. Chirr in north Seongsu is described as Pheromone's second cafe, but it is a separate shop at a different address, so we set those posts aside.
