Bar

Peeodeu Kakteil Seutudio

페어드 칵테일 스튜디오 Paired is simply the English word for 'matched in pairs'; none of the posts say why the bar chose the name.

Compiled from 12 blog posts read in fullSources →

Paired Cocktail Studio is a cocktail bar on an upper floor of a building on Sangwon 1-gil in Seongsu-dong. It serves named signature cocktails, such as the Voyager, made with whatever fruit is in season, and the Samgyetang, which comes with a ginseng cookie; three posts put signatures at 19,000 won a glass. Inside there is a bar with tables downstairs, a mezzanine level upstairs and a terrace, and a free snack arrives when you sit down. We read 30 posts dated 12 February to 4 October 2026. We set aside 15 that only matched the name and were about other places or trips; of the remaining 15, 12 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. A free snack comes when you sit down. Nine posts mention it, and what arrives varies: nachos in two February posts, purple sweet potato chips on 18 May, hummus with nachos in three posts from 21 May to 23 June, cold pasta in two posts from September, and one post doesn't say. One writer said they would happily pay for it; another skipped ordering food because the free snack was enough.
  2. Five posts mention an outdoor terrace. One says it looks down over the Seongsu alleys, another says the mood changes around 10 p.m., and one writer noticed hardly any insects.
  3. Six posts say it is quiet enough to talk. Writers mention the space between tables, compare it with other Seongsu bars they found loud or too dark, and say they barely noticed the next table's conversation.
  4. Six posts call the staff friendly. Several mention that every drink is explained as it is served. Others describe what the staff do at the table, such as toasting jamón for the Dark Alley or setting the Smoke alight.

  1. Six posts say it is an easy walk from Ttukseom Station, giving times of 2 minutes from exits 6 and 7, 3-4 minutes, and 5 minutes from exit 7 or from public transport. Two posts warn that the sign is small; one says it is in the building with Rabbit Hole Burger.

From the station

Six posts say it is an easy walk from Ttukseom Station, giving times of 2 minutes from exits 6 and 7, 3-4 minutes, and 5 minutes from exit 7 or from public transport. Two posts warn that the sign is small; one says it is in the building with Rabbit Hole Burger.

The bar spans two levels. Five posts describe a bar and tables downstairs and a mezzanine upstairs. Those who sat upstairs talk about the sofas, one saying they felt like the sofa at home. One post suggests the downstairs bar seats if you want to watch the drinks being made.

Six posts say the bar is upstairs, not in a basement. Five say third floor, but one says to climb the stairs to the fourth. The interior has two levels, so the difference may just be how people counted the entrance floor.

No post says whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That doesn't mean it can't, only that nobody wrote about it. However, one post says there is no lift and you have to walk up, and another warns that the stairs are a bit steep. The upstairs mezzanine also appears to be reached by stairs.

Only one post describes the toilet in detail: inside the bar, shared by men and women, and stocked with cotton swabs, hair ties, mouthwash and sanitary products. That post disclosed sponsorship. One other post also says the toilet was clean and had hair ties.

No one mentioned: Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 15 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post mentions waiting for a seat. That doesn't mean there is never a wait, only that nobody wrote about one. No post says whether the bar takes reservations either.
  • The posts don't point to one kind of outing: two writers went with their husband and two with friends. Nobody describes going alone or with children.
  • Four posts give opening hours and they differ slightly. Three say it opens at 7 p.m.; one February 2026 post says 6:30. All say it closes at 1 a.m., but two say 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays while one says 1 a.m. then too. One post says it is closed on Mondays; another copied listing says it is open daily. Check before you go.
  • Prices are only given per item. Three posts put signature cocktails at 19,000 won; one says 19,000-23,000. Food is around 10,000 won (honey garlic brick cheese 10,500, chicken breast confit 11,000). No post says what a whole visit cost. One writer says it may seem expensive but felt worth it.
  • No post gives a phone number or explains how to book.
  • Of the 12 visit posts, one discloses sponsorship, one says the writer paid, and ten say nothing either way. Four posts from May to July 2026 share a similar 'Seongsu date spot' title and run through location, mood, signatures, free snack and friendly staff in much the same order. One blogger reposted a single visit in two different round-up posts; we counted it once.
