OMOT

오므오트 Omeuoteu OMOT comes from 'On My Own Time' — read aloud in Korean it sounds like 'omeuoteu', which the house writes on its wall.

Compiled from 18 blog posts read in fullSources →

OMOT is a Korean tea house in a basement at Seoulsup 2-gil 12, near Seoul Forest. It runs a 75-minute 'tea ceremony': around five teas, each paired with a small sweet, served to up to 12 guests seated around a single bar. Posts from visits in January–March 2026 give the price as 35,000 won per person; posts from June on say 48,000 won. The theme changes roughly every four months — the Ten Symbols of Longevity (Nov 2025–Feb 2026), the Korean flag (Apr–Jul), the five traditional colours (from September). A separate 59,000-won Macallan whisky pairing ran in January–February 2026. We read 30 posts dated 25 January to 2 October 2026; 19 describe an actual visit, and the other 11 are roundups or magazine listings.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. There is only a bar. Three posts describe guests seated around a U-shaped counter for about 12. Capacity is 12, but two posts sat with only three people or two parties in their session.
  2. Twelve posts booked ahead. The deposit was 20,000 won in posts from January–March and 30,000 won in June and September; one post copied the refund rule (full refund three days out, half two days out, none after that). Sessions start on the hour, and one post warns that latecomers miss the courses already served.
  3. Four posts call it quiet. Two of them found that a drawback: it was hard to chat with friends, and the room felt like one where you should keep your voice down.
  4. Of the posts that say who they went with, eight went with friends, four with a partner or spouse, and two alone. Both solo visitors recommend going alone, since each guest follows the course at their own pace.
3 more
  1. Three posts walked from Ttukseom station in 10 to 12 minutes; one suggests a parasol if you walk over at midday.
  2. Two posts shared their session with foreign guests — in one, nearly half the room; in the other, a Japanese family. Two more posts mention an English script for the storytelling.
  3. Two posts say they come back each time the season's theme changes.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Parking

Posts saying you cannot1 of 18 posts

Parking: one visit post says there is no lot of its own and points to nearby public parking. Two other posts list 'no parking' in their info boxes, but those were copied listings, so we didn't count them.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

In a basement8 of 18 posts
Toilet inside2 of 18 posts

Eight visit posts say it is one floor below street level. One says the door is right at the foot of the stairs, another got a little lost finding it, and a third notes a standing sign that makes it easy to spot.

Step-free access: two posts mention walking down stairs, and none mentions a lift, a ramp, or arriving by wheelchair or with a stroller. We don't know whether it is wheelchair accessible.

Two posts say the toilet is inside the shop and clean. Nobody says whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 11 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-08-032 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Price: three visits from January–March 2026 paid 35,000 won per person; posts from June on say 48,000 won. The Macallan pairing was 59,000 won. Three posts call it expensive, three discuss the price without a verdict, and one (the Macallan session) found it good value.
  • Hours: five posts give 12:00–20:30, closed Monday and Tuesday. But a January post says only Tuesday is closed, a July post says Wednesday–Thursday close at 19:00, and an October roundup copied weekday 12:00–20:30, weekend 12:00–21:30, closed Tuesday. Several posts say Wednesday–Thursday are walk-in and Friday–Sunday are booked courses, and that August 2026 had no courses at all. Check before going.
  • Waiting: no post mentions queuing — everyone came in on a booked session. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is never a wait. One post notes you can enter only ten minutes before your slot.
  • Phone: none of the posts gives a number. Several say bookings go through Instagram DM, KakaoTalk channel or Naver Talk, with same-day bookings by phone.
  • One post says staff showed them a paper bag signed by aespa's Karina and Giselle. Another post only repeats that the place appeared in an aespa video, which we didn't count.
  • Eleven of the 30 posts are roundups or magazine listings, so we did not rely on them. One places the shop in Gye-dong and another gives a 30,000–45,000 won range; neither matches the visit posts.
