A Korean buffet on the ground floor of the Metamorpho knowledge-industry centre on Seongsu-il-ro — in practice the canteen for the offices around it. Open weekday lunchtimes only, 11 to 2, closed at weekends and on public holidays. There is one menu, the day's plate, and it changes daily. You pay at the door and help yourself to a tray, with only the soup ladled for you. It was ₩8,000 and became ₩9,000 in May 2026, and not one of the five writers calls it expensive. Meat never misses from the spread — the thing said most often about this place. It is large: one writer reckons it seats a hundred, and three call it clean. At lunchtime there is a line, but for the serving counter rather than for a table, and writers say it moves fast. The shop posts each day's menu at 11am on its blog and Instagram.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The price is the whole proposition — all five writers call it cheap. One says that to find fault with an ₩8,000 lunch here would be absurd, and wonders how they make anything on it; another scores the price two stars out of five and dares you to call it expensive. It rose during that span, and the writer who saw it said so: two months earlier it had been ₩8,000, she had wondered how it paid, and at ₩9,000 the spread still seemed fair. Three posts give ₩8,000 and one gives ₩9,000 — read ₩9,000 as the current price. One writer mentions a discount for buying ten meal tickets at once, hedging it with "I think". It is not confirmed. The most distant witness is a visitor from Gwangju, in Seoul for a course and handed a meal voucher: no canteen at home, she says, comes up to this.
- There is a queue at lunchtime, and one writer pins down what it means: people are lined up not for a table but because they are serving themselves, so it moves — inside, she says, there is room for a hundred. Another puts it from the other side: the room filled in minutes, almost all of them office workers, and still nobody waited long. A third credits the serving lines being split sensibly. So "there is a queue" and "I did not wait" sit together here. The line is at the counter; the seats are not the constraint. One writer did mind the crowd, though: so many people that it felt like eating in a battery cage. If you want quiet, avoid noon to one — the peak, as another writer notes, with a comfortable meal either side of it.
- That it does not look like a canteen is the second most common remark. One writer, who keeps a Korean buffet in reserve wherever she works, says she has never seen one this clean or this roomy; another's first thought on the building was a hotel lobby. Others note the serving counter kept tidy and a bright room in which eating alone feels like nothing at all. The window seats look onto greenery, and the kitchen is fully open, which one writer takes as a guarantee. Another was reassured by seeing the dishes sterilised. It is an easy place to eat alone — four writers touch on it. One is grateful that the trays have a moulded slot for the cutlery instead of the round plates that let everything run together.

Getting there

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.
Getting inside
Nobody writes about wheelchair or pushchair access. In five posts the words ramp, threshold and step never appear. It is a ground-floor unit reached through the building's own lobby — one writer's first impression was of a hotel lobby, another describes going into the Metamorpho building and finding it on the ground floor. So you pass through a main entrance rather than a door off the street. A large building's entrance is likely to be level, but that is our inference, not a record. The room is large — seating for a hundred, with more tables behind the wall on the left. The system is self-service: you carry a tray along the counter and find a seat, which may be the real obstacle for anyone who cannot. That much is on record; the rest is not.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- One of the six posts was a different canteen in a different building — a case that neither the name nor the check-in separates. That post describes Lunch Plus at the APEX Centre, ground floor, units 103 and 104. Ours is Metamorpho, ground floor, units 103 and 104 — the same unit numbers, a different building. And yet the check-in widget carried our shop. The writer sets out the confusion herself: the place is variously called Bap Plus or Lunch Today, but the sign in the room says Lunch Plus. One operator appears to run canteens in several of these industrial centres under drifting names. Only the building name and lot number told them apart. Five posts remain, from September 2025 to May 2026. That is not many — and all five are lunches, which is all this place serves. The price became ₩9,000 in May 2026. Three posts say ₩8,000, but that was the figure from September 2025 to March 2026. Three things we do not know. No post gives a telephone number — presumably nobody needs to book. Nobody says whether it closes early when the food runs out; only that it serves until two. And the ten-ticket discount rests on one writer's "I think".
- Only two of the five say who they came with, and both were following somebody else in. One had travelled up from Gwangju for a training course and went in with his work colleagues, using the meal voucher handed out at the door of the classroom; on his own scorecard, under "who with?", he wrote "colleagues? alone?". The other tagged along on her partner's lunch break — she had been curious every time he said he was going, so she went too, and afterwards sent him back to work and spent the rest of the day on her own. The other three say nothing about it. All three are lunch posts by people who work nearby: they begin with what to eat today and end with a photograph of a tray. At a canteen round the corner, who you came with is not worth writing down. Two writers do describe the room, and we have not counted that — one noting a great many people eating alone and a high proportion of men, which she puts down to the amount of meat; the other that the bright fit-out makes eating alone entirely unawkward, and that the place works for a solo lunch and for a group alike. That is what they saw at other tables, not who they came with. As testimony that nobody here will look twice at you eating alone, though, it is worth something — this is a hall that seats a hundred, and you carry a tray to a seat.
- Nobody writes about the toilet. Counting the word, it appears exactly once in the five posts — and that once is not about this place. It belongs to a visitor from Gwangju describing the classroom where he spent the morning, and a colleague who kept going out with a bad stomach. Not one post mentions the restaurant's toilet. Whether there is one in the unit, whether customers use the industrial centre's own facilities, whether men's and women's are separate: we know none of it. That is not a no; it is an absence. The building's facilities are the plausible answer, but that is our guess, not anyone's observation. Why nobody wrote it is plain enough. The place opens for three hours of weekday lunch, eleven till two, and almost everyone eating is working in the same building or the next one — they use their own office. Only two of the five came from outside (the man on a training course, the woman following her partner), and neither wrote it down either.
- No floors or private rooms appear — units 103 and 104 on the ground floor, and all five posts leave it there. It reads as one large room across the two units; that there are more tables behind the left-hand wall is as much as anyone records of the layout. No upstairs, no separate room.
