Compiled from 28 blog posts read in fullSources →
Koutetsu is a Japanese teppan (iron-griddle) restaurant on the ground floor of 44-7 Seoulsup 2-gil, in the lanes between Seoul Forest and Ttukseom stations. It serves Hita-style yakisoba, made with house-made noodles pressed crisp on the griddle, and donteki, a sous-vide pork steak, as set meals. The Hita and clam-and-salt yakisoba sets cost 16,000 won, the donteki set 18,000 won and the donteki-and-hamburg set 21,000 won. You order at a kiosk by the door before sitting down. One post says it opened on April 11, 2026. We read 30 posts dated May 1 to October 5, 2026; 28 of them describe actually eating here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You order first, at the kiosk by the entrance: 15 posts describe ordering there before taking a seat. One notes the kiosk offers other languages; another says staff first checked there was a table for their group. Water is self-serve, and several posts describe a how-to-eat card plus yuzu dressing, mayonnaise, pepper and chili flakes at every seat.
- Sit at the counter that wraps the kitchen and the griddle work happens right in front of you; 14 posts mention the open kitchen. It is not counter-only: 14 posts also mention four-person tables, and one counted three of them plus ten counter seats. Several pairs say they were steered to the counter.
- The most consistent remark is that portions are large: 15 posts say so and none say otherwise. Writers mention not being able to finish alone or feeling full halfway through, and several give the donteki as 250 g.
- Waiting depends on timing. Three posts report a queue and eight walked straight in, mostly by avoiding the rush: weekdays at 11:30 or 11:50, weekday evenings, 5 p.m., or 1:50 p.m. on a Saturday. One September writer arrived at 11:15 on a weekend, found two groups ahead, and waited outside until the 11:30 opening. Nobody mentioned anywhere to wait indoors.
5 more
- Seven posts describe walking in from the subway, from Seoul Forest station exit 5 or Ttukseom exit 8. One walked eight to ten minutes from Ttukseom; another took nine minutes from Seoul Forest. Some found it tucked into a lane, others found it easy to spot.
- Eight posts describe the donteki as juicy, and many call it thick. Not everyone liked the sous-vide approach: one writer felt the fat had not rendered, and a couple wished it were cooked a little longer. The sous-vide and domestic-pork details are the restaurant's own description, repeated by bloggers.
- Seven posts call the room clean; one said the open kitchen let them see it for themselves. Several mention the wood-toned interior.
- Company is spread out: five posts were dates, five were with friends, one was four coworkers and one a family with children. No writer came alone, though several saw solo diners at the counter.
- One family with two young children says staff set up a Bumbo baby seat for them. Another post's 'high chairs available' line is copied listing info.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 2 (of 28 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | 3 of 28 posts |
It is at street level: two posts say so from their visit, and none mention a basement or upstairs room.
Nobody says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair fits. One family with a stroller left it outside the door, so we cannot tell whether it would have fit inside. This is an absence of reports, not a report of absence.
Three posts place the restroom inside the restaurant, one noting it was clean with an automatic toilet lid. Nobody says whether it is split by gender or accessible.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on salt split evenly: three posts found it salty, three said it was not. One suggested cooking the egg white on the hot plate to tone it down.
- Two posts found the food greasy-rich; one said it was not.
- The 'spicy' options are mild: four posts said the spicy donteki sauce and chili shrimp dumplings were not hot. The one post that found something hot meant the white pepper on the clam yakisoba.
- Views on size split three to three: three posts found it roomy, three found it tight, one noting the narrow gaps between tables. The seat count given is three four-person tables and about ten counter seats.
- On price, posts split two and two: two called it on the expensive side, two called it good value. A meal is one set at 16,000 to 21,000 won; one couple paid 34,000 won for a yakisoba set and a donteki set. Two posts mention a free soft drink for leaving a receipt review.
- Sixteen posts copy nearly identical hours: daily 11:30 to 21:00, break 15:00 to 17:00, last orders 14:30 and 20:30. Two differ, one giving a 21:30 close and one a 14:00 lunch last order. One lists no regular day off. All of this is copied listing info, not something we could confirm.
- Six posts give the same phone number, 0507-1321-0470. Two repeat that Naver booking is available, but no writer actually booked, so we have not confirmed reservations.
- Some posts look promotional: a May 1 post strings together formulaic sentences and then lists four unrelated Gangnam restaurants with prices, and a May 20 post pastes in a Naver review-count widget. Both still describe a meal, so we counted them.
