Kataomoi is a vinyl listening bar on the fourth floor of a building in a side street near Ttukseom Station in Seongsu. It plays jazz records through large speakers and serves whisky, cocktails, draft beer and non-alcoholic drinks, with light snacks like popcorn and toast. Prices in the posts: Sapporo draft 10,000 won, the tomato beer 12,000 won, butter popcorn 7,000 won, strawberry-jam toast 7,500 won. Daytime visitors describe sitting by the window over coffee or mocktails; evening visitors describe a full room and a wait. We read 30 posts from December 2025 to September 2026; 20 describe an actual visit. Eight were set aside because they were really about Yokatane, the owner's second bar nearby, or another shop in the same building.

What sets it apart
- A free snack comes with drinks even if you order no food. Five posts mention it, all of them chocolate. One noted that whisky and cocktails get salted chocolate while beer gets mixed nuts; a December 2025 post also got Santa-hat meringue cookies.
- The room is small; five posts say so, one comparing the bar seats to sharing a table with strangers. One post counted eight seats at an L-shaped bar, three two-person tables and one four-person table. Three posts confirm there are window tables as well as the bar.
- Expect a wait in the evening. Four posts hit one, and two of them gave up and went to the sister bar Yokatane nearby. No one wrote down how many minutes. One post that arrived at weekday opening time found no wait. One describes a whiteboard by the door where you leave party size and a contact number.
- Song requests are mixed. Three posts say requests are taken — one adds only if the record is in stock, another says last time it took so long they did not bother again. One post was told requests are rarely taken, though staff will play a record you pull from the shelf.

It is on the fourth floor, but there is a lift; four posts rode it up. One writer had worried the narrow building would have none. Three posts said the small sign — mostly in Japanese — was easy to walk past.
No one mentioned steps at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. Four posts confirm a lift, but we know nothing about the fourth-floor entrance itself.
Only one post mentions the toilet: inside the bar, unisex, clean, with hand wash and lotion. No one else said anything.

Of the 20 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Five posts give opening hours. Four agree on 3 pm to 1 am on weekdays and 2 pm to 1 am at weekends, three of them adding last orders at 12:40 am. One April 2026 post says 3 pm to 1 am daily with no closing day. All are copied info boxes, not observed times.
- Few posts give prices, and none says what a visit actually cost. One date-course post budgeted about 60,000 won for two cocktails but said it was not what they paid. A menu copied in September 2026 lists mocktails at 14,000–16,000 won and cola or cider at 6,000 won.
- Only one post lists a phone number (0507-1437-0321). One December 2025 post says the bar is normally walk-in only and takes Instagram bookings just for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day; we don't know about other dates.
- The owner also runs Yokatane, a second bar nearby at Wangsimni-ro 4-gil 24-33, 2F. Both menus open from the same Notion link, and two posts checked in at Kataomoi while writing about Yokatane. We did not count Yokatane's prices, seating or request-day rule here.
