KAMOTO
카모토 Kamoto One post says the name joins the Japanese kamo (duck) and moto (root, origin) — fitting for a duck-broth gomtang house run by a chef trained in Japanese kitchens.

Kamoto is a small duck-gomtang shop in an alley off Sangwon 6-gil in Seongsu, a short walk from Ttukseom Station. The signature bowl is rice cooked in house stock, submerged in clear duck broth and topped with thin slices of duck breast and a mound of chopped chives — 13,000 won, or 16,000 for the large. There is also a duck tenderloin salad for 8,000 won, duck noodles at dinner only, and a set with a glass of nokpaju liquor. The owner runs it alone from behind a bar counter; posts describe many solo diners and office workers at lunch. We read 30 posts dated January 30 to October 1, 2026; 25 of them describe actually eating here (two were about other places, and three were lists or a magazine piece, which we didn't count).

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Every seat is at the bar. Fourteen posts said there is only counter seating, and guesses at capacity ran from about eight to twelve seats. One post warned that a party of five or six will have to split up.
- Expect a line at lunch. Ten posts mention a line or a wait; the times given were 15 and 25 minutes at lunch and 10 minutes just after 6 p.m. One office worker left 20 minutes early and still found a sizable line. Three posts noted there is no app-based waitlist — you queue in person. One post arrived around 11:10 and walked in as the first customer with no wait.
- The kitchen is open right across the counter. Ten posts described watching the owner plate the rice, lay on the duck and pour the broth from their seat, and several said it made the wait pass quickly.
- Many went in worried about a duck smell; nine posts said there was none, and none said otherwise. Some did find the breast meat a little dry and said dipping it in the accompanying sauce helps.
2 more
- Six posts said the portion is large — one guessed the rice alone was a portion and a half, and another said a midday bowl kept them full until 9:30 p.m.
- It's an easy place to eat alone. Three posts went solo, including a regular who always takes one of the two seats by the door. Two went as a couple and two in a group.

Parking
1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Assume there is no parking. One post said in its own words that the shop has no parking and to use a nearby public lot; the other 'no parking' lines were copied from the shop's listing. Two posts came by car, one of them paying about 6,000 won at the Ttukseom reservoir public lot.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
5 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post describes the floor or any stairs from experience; only the address says ground floor. That means nobody wrote about it, not that it's a problem.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Several posts note the room is tiny and all bar seating.
No post says where the restroom is or whether it is separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Accounts of noise differ: two posts found it calm and quiet, while one said the lunch rush made it fairly loud.
- Five posts said it is easy to reach by subway, four or five minutes on foot from Ttukseom Station. No post mentions coming by bus.
- One parent wrote that there are no high chairs, so she left the baby at home. No post describes bringing a child.
- Eleven posts gave the same opening hours — Monday to Saturday 11:30 to 20:30, break 14:30 to 17:30, last orders 14:10 and 20:10, closed Sundays — though many copied them from the shop's listing. It closes early when food runs out: a regular said weekday lunch often sold out before 1:30, one post got in just before the sell-out sign went up, and another found the salad gone. The 60-bowls-a-day limit is the shop's own claim, repeated by bloggers.
- No post says whether reservations are taken; three said there is no remote waitlist. Four posts list the same phone number, 0506-558-2787.
- The price of the duck gomtang stayed at 13,000 won from January to October 2026. The menu has grown: a diner who returned after visiting just after the opening noted the duck salad hadn't existed then, and it appears on the menu from January 2026. The duck noodles are missing from a January 2026 menu description but appear as a dinner-only dish from May; since they're dinner-only, they may simply have been left out, so we don't know when they were added.
