Jebijip

제비집 Jebijip means a swallow's nest.

Compiled from 9 blog posts read in fullSources →

Jebijip is a small Korean drinking spot up a flight of stairs in an alley near Ttukseom Station in Seongsu. There is no menu: the owner serves an anju course built from that day's market run, and seven posts put it at 55,000 won a head (October 2024 to September 2025). It opens with raw fish and seafood, moves through a pancake, boiled pork and a seafood stir-fry, and ends with soup or perilla-oil noodles. You book ahead and order drinks separately. We read 17 posts from October 2024 to September 2026; 10 are about this place and 9 of those describe a visit. The other 7 only shared the name — bird's-nest soup in Bangkok, swallows' nests under eaves.

What sets it apart

  1. You book. Six posts say they reserved. A July 2025 post says same-day bookings and walk-ins are refused — reserve by 9 pm the day before — and watched walk-ins turned away. A September 2025 post says groups of three or more book on CatchTable, pairs by contacting the owner that day.
  2. Three posts say it is close to the subway; two give the walk from exit 7 of Ttukseom Station on Line 2. Seoul Forest Station is also nearby.
  3. It is small: four posts say so, two count about three tables. One post says parties of eight or more take the whole room; a team dinner post liked having the single table to themselves.
  4. Four posts say they left full; one expected small plates not to add up, and they did.

Where it is

Map showing where Jebijip is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Three posts say it is close to the subway; two give the walk from exit 7 of Ttukseom Station on Line 2. Seoul Forest Station is also nearby.

Getting inside

Second floor3 of 9 posts

The address says ground floor, but you climb stairs to the second floor — three posts say so. One warns the alley is hard to find on a first visit.

No post mentions a basement; the three that mention the floor all say you climb stairs to the second floor.

Nobody mentions a step at the door, a lift, or wheelchair or stroller access — only that you go up stairs. We don't know.

No post says where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender. We don't know.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 10 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Seating is in dispute: an October 2024 post says counter seats only; July and September 2025 posts count about three tables. We cannot tell whether it changed or was described differently.
  • Prices have moved. The larger course was 68,000 won in October 2024 and 77,000 won (seven dishes) in July 2025. A September 2025 post says pairs used to book on CatchTable but now pay 65,000 won a head. Drinks are extra; one post budgets 60,000 to 70,000 won a person with alcohol.
  • Two posts list different opening hours: daily 17:00-22:00 in January 2025, daily 13:00-22:00 in July 2025, both copied-in info blocks. Nobody mentions a closing day.
  • Only one post (September 2025) gives a phone number, for pairs booking with the owner; two posts mention booking through CatchTable.
  • No post describes waiting in line. That fits a reservation-only place, but it means nobody wrote about it, not that there is never a wait.
