Huijeong Bogamjok

희정보감족 Huijeong reads as a personal name; no post explains the rest of the name, though the house sells bossam (boiled pork) and jokbal (pig's trotters).

A jokbal and bossam house in a converted red-brick home on a corner of Sangwon 2-gil, a short walk from Ttukseom Station exit 5. On weekday lunchtimes it serves a bossam set: about ten slices of boiled pork, four side dishes, lettuce wraps and a doenjang stew in its own pot for each person, with rice refilled on request. Posts up to August 2025 put it at 10,000 won; from September 2025, 11,000 won. In the evening people order the half-and-half trotters (45,000 won since July 2025) or bossam, and oyster bossam in winter. We read 27 posts from November 2024 to August 2026; 22 describe an actual meal there.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The side dishes change from visit to visit, and refills come when asked. Eight posts say they got more side dishes or lettuce. Many list that day's spread, and the lists differ: meatball patties, acorn jelly, pickled perilla, braised beef, anchovies.
  2. The point posts agree on most is the lack of porky smell: eight say there was none, and none say otherwise. One found the slices thin, and one found the meat fatty enough to feel greasy.
  3. Office workers nearby come back often: seven posts mention repeat visits, one saying they eat here more than at the staff canteen. One post says they will not return, citing fatty pork and an off smell in the noodles.

Getting inside

The address says ground floor, but you climb to get in. Two posts mention a step or a short flight of stairs ("about 1.5 floors up"), and two describe it as being on the second floor. Five posts say it is up, none say down.

No post mentions entering with a wheelchair or stroller. Four mention stairs at the entrance; nobody says whether there is a ramp. We do not know, which is not the same as saying no.

The toilet is not inside the restaurant. Two posts say you take a key from the counter and go outside and half a flight down; one found that unpleasant in the cold. No one says whether it is separated by sex.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 24 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Lunchtime waits are split: two posts queued, two walked straight in, and two mention crowds without saying whether they waited. No one gives a wait in minutes. One advises avoiding 12:00 to 12:30.
  • Company is scattered: three posts went with friends, one alone, one as a work dinner. Only one post speaks to eating alone, saying it felt comfortable.
  • Four posts call the room small; one says the tables are well spaced. Those who counted found about seven four-tops and one two-top, or about six four-tops.
  • Eleven posts give opening hours; ten agree on weekdays 11:30 to 22:00 with a break from 14:30 to 17:30, closed Saturday and Sunday. One says it closes on Saturdays only. Most of these are copied info blocks. The lunch-set window is given as starting at 11:30 in some posts and 11:00 in one.
  • Prices have risen in steps: the lunch set from 10,000 to 11,000 won, half-and-half trotters from 42,000 to 45,000 won, large bossam from 40,000 to 42,000 won. One post describing July 2026 still gives 10,000 and 40,000 won, and one December 2025 post gives oyster bossam at 42,000 won, both out of line with other posts from the same period. Only one post gives a per-head dinner cost: three people shared a large bossam within 15,000 won each.
  • Six posts give the phone number 0507-1313-6452; one gives 02-6085-6452. Only one post, a work dinner, booked ahead, and says every table other than the reserved ones was full. No one says whether lunch can be booked.
  • Five posts were not counted: one about a different restaurant, one made up entirely of copied listing data, two multi-restaurant lists, and one that claims a weekend visit and a sundae dish this place does not serve. Claims like "25 years of tradition" and "trotters boiled the same day" are the restaurant's own words, repeated by bloggers; we did not count them.
