Hongcheon Sutdak is a charcoal chicken-galbi place on a side street near Ttukseom Station (Wangsimni-ro 14-gil 32-3). In the evening you grill salt or marinated chicken galbi (16,000 won a serving) and chicken neck (16,000 won) over charcoal at your table, then finish with doenjang rice stew (6,000 won); at lunch it sells stews, rice bowls and bibimbap for 10,000 to 11,000 won. Many writers describe it as a neighborhood spot and an after-work dinner place for nearby offices. We read 20 posts from October 2024 to August 2026, 17 of them from people who actually went.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. A free bowl of fish-cake broth arrives as soon as you sit down. Seven posts mention it, and some note that everyone gets their own bowl, even if you don't order alcohol. Writers also list rice cakes for grilling and side dishes such as aged kimchi, white kimchi and cabbage salad.
  2. You grill the meat yourself over charcoal at the table. All eight posts that describe the evening galbi say so, and four of them add that it arrives par-grilled and cooks quickly. The marinated pieces burn easily: two writers said they charred the skin and had to cut it off.
  3. The marinated galbi isn't really spicy. Three posts said it wasn't hot, and a fourth called it sweet with a little heat, but nowhere near too spicy to eat.
  4. Of six posts that talked about price, four called it cheap or fair, and none called it expensive. In December 2025, two servings of galbi plus one chicken neck came to 48,000 won; a January 2025 lunch post said the 9,000-won pork kimchi stew had a lot of meat for the price.

  1. Three posts said portions were generous: one said a single serving of galbi was surprisingly large, and another said the lunch was cheap and filling.

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 14 posts

Nobody described the floor. The address says ground floor, but no visitor mentioned levels or stairs.

We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller fits. That isn't a no; nobody wrote about it. One post said the room is smaller than expected with tight table spacing, and another called it roomy.

Only one post (October 2024) said from experience that the restroom is inside. Nobody said whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 16 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Several posts place it near Exit 2 of Ttukseom Station, but always in copied listing details. No one described the walk from the station.
  • No post mentioned waiting in line. Writers only say it fills up fast: full soon after the dinner rush starts, and packed once noon hits at lunch. One post said they booked ahead (December 2024, 7:30 pm).
  • All opening hours are copied from listings. Two 2024 posts gave 11:00 to 23:00; of four visit posts from December 2025 on, three gave weekdays 11:00 to 22:00 and Sundays 11:00 to 21:00, and one gave 11:00 to 21:00. All four say it closes on Saturdays, and three list a 14:00 to 17:00 break. Closing time seems to have moved earlier.
  • Prices are as of each post. The pork kimchi stew at lunch was 9,000 won in January 2025 and 10,000 won in August 2026, so it went up. For dinner we only know that posts from December 2025 and February 2026 both give 16,000 won.
  • Four posts list the phone number as 02-466-6589; a Seongdong-gu public restaurant registry shows a different number (462-6988). One post said they made a reservation.
  • One February 2026 post reuses sentences from a September 2025 post, so we did not count it as a visit. Two December 2025 posts come from two people at the same dinner.
