Haemjji-wa Bejji Ttukseom-jeom

햄찌와베찌 뚝섬점 Haemjji and Bejji are short for ham jjigae and bacon jjigae, the two budae-jjigae stews the house serves; Ttukseom-jeom means the Ttukseom branch.

A budae-jjigae shop in the alley behind Ttukseom Station exit 2 (Sangwon 10-gil). It sells two stews by the single portion, ham and bacon, and any instant-noodle add-on costs 1,000 won. Stews come with a big bowl of mixed-grain rice and a pat of butter to stir in. Most posts are office-worker lunches. We read 17 posts from October 2024 to September 2026; 4 were about the Wangsimni branch of the same name and were set aside, leaving 12 actual visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Seven posts called the portions large, one describing ham piled up like a mountain. One post found the rice serving small, and several said more rice comes on request.
  2. Four posts mention an open kitchen at the back. Posts describe a couple running it, him on the floor and her in the kitchen, and one says the owner cuts the big ham at your table once the stew boils.
  3. Four posts say the room is small, and three call it clean. A September 2026 post lists four-seat tables, one eight-seat table and a single outdoor table.
  4. Five posts walked from Ttukseom Station: three put it 3 to 5 minutes from exit 2, and one detailed a 250 m alley walk from exit 4.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Five posts walked from Ttukseom Station: three put it 3 to 5 minutes from exit 2, and one detailed a 250 m alley walk from exit 4.

Getting inside

No post described the floor or steps at the entrance from experience; the '1st floor' in the address is registry data.

Nobody mentioned a step at the door or entering with a wheelchair or stroller. That means unknown, not absent.

No post says where the restroom is or whether it is gender-separated.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 13 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices rose once: the September 2024 menu showed 9,000 won for ham and 10,000 for bacon stew; posts from February 2025 on show 10,000 and 11,000. Three posts called it inexpensive.
  • Only one post (December 2025) actually saw a queue form at lunch. Others noted it nearly full by 11:40 or advised avoiding 12:00 to 12:30, but none recorded a wait time.
  • Only one post clearly says who came along (a friend at lunch). Colleague, solo or family visits are hinted at but never stated, so we did not count them.
  • Five posts list opening hours, all copied from listings. All five agree it closes Sundays. Opening time splits between 11:00 (Oct 2024, Sep 2026) and 10:00 (Nov 2025 to Aug 2026); two posts say Saturdays close at 16:00, while a September 2026 post gives Mon to Sat 11:00 to 21:00 with a 16:00 to 17:00 break. Check before going.
  • Three posts give the same phone number, 02-498-2250. None of the Ttukseom posts says whether reservations are taken.
