Gugil Sundaeguk is a pork-and-blood-sausage soup house on the main road about five minutes' walk from exit 2 at Seoul Forest. The board holds three things — the white soup, the red one, and a short-rib soup — and the soup is ₩11,000, plus ₩2,000 for the large. Each seat has a tablet; you order and pay without getting up. There is no real sign, only the name cut into a plank, and four writers nearly walked past it. Three note that the family also runs a barbecue restaurant in Seongsu; one repeats the owner's line about having kept a soup house in Cheonan before this. At lunchtime there is a queue.   The plain one: milky pork-bone broth, brought to the table still boiling in its earthenware pot, with head meat, offal and blood sausage. Two writers note the raw garlic on top. **Four say to order this first if it is your first visit,** and six describe the trick of eating half of it plain, then stirring in the chilli paste for a second, different bowl

  **The price went up.** Posts from the old room (March–August 2025) and the first months of the new one (November 2025–January 2026) say ₩10,000; from late February 2026 they say ₩11,000 — though one post in early March still had the old price. **The large size adds ₩2,000** (₩12,000, now ₩13,000). One post gives ₩1,000 for extra rice. Two writers say the regular size is already big and the large is only for big eaters

Getting inside

Nobody says whether you can get in with a wheelchair or a pushchair. Wheelchair, pushchair, ramp, threshold, step, kerb — not one of those words appears once in thirty posts. Whether there is a lip at the door, how wide the door is, whether a chair can turn inside: we do not know. The only line about the door at all is someone saying they opened it and walked in. Nothing about high chairs or children either. This is neither a yes nor a no — it is thirty people who never raised it, and an address that says ground floor.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• It got more expensive. A bowl was ₩10,000 from the old room until January 2026; posts from late February 2026 say ₩11,000 — though one published in early March still had the old figure, so we cannot pin the date. The rib soup went from ₩15,000 to ₩16,000. One writer calls it dear, three call it good value. The counts below are those four; the prices themselves are under the dishes above.
• Nobody has looked at parking at the new address. Six posts bring parking up. Four say there is none — and all four are the listing's own line copied across ("no parking, use the public car park nearby"). The single first-hand account — "room for maybe one car out front" — is about the old room, before the move. The sixth is titled "parking information" and never says whether you can park at the door; it just links the municipal car park down the road. If you are driving, ring ahead.
• Not one post mentions a toilet. In thirty posts the word never appears. Inside the restaurant or shared with the building, separate for men and women or not — we know none of it. That is silence, not absence: this is a place where you eat a bowl of soup and leave, and nobody seems to have needed it.
• "Ground floor" comes from the address, not from anyone's eyes. In thirty posts the words for stairs and lift never appear once. "1F" turns up more than fifty times, and every single one is an address line or the Naver check-in card pinned to the foot of a post — "Seongdeokjeong 9-ga-gil 2, 1F" for the old room, "Ttukseom-ro 321, 1F" for the new one, and the licence register says ground floor as well. The five mentions of an upstairs or a basement all belong to other restaurants' check-in cards. So it is a street-level room — but we have that from the register, not from one of the thirty people who walked in.
• The hours disagree, and part of that is change rather than disagreement. Five posts from the old room give eleven to ten daily, last order at nine — those hours belong to an address the restaurant has left, so they are kept out of the table. Eleven posts from the new room settle on a nine o'clock close; only one, written just after the move, says eight. Sunday is the real split: six say closed Sunday, one says Sunday until 2:30pm, one says Sunday until eight, one says Monday until eight. But all six "closed Sunday" lines are the listing copied across, and the only writer who actually turned up on a Sunday found it open — "Naver says closed Sundays but I went for Sunday lunch." So we record no closing day at all. If you are going on a Sunday, phone first. Seven posts give the same number: 0507-1389-9072.
• No post declares sponsorship. Four say they paid; one announces itself as "the unsponsored RockHer." The other twenty-five say nothing about money either way. One records a freebie — at the old room, with only drinks ordered, the owner grilled them some meat; the writer says she paid for the rest. One writer found the broth salty enough to leave his mouth heavy, and says his companion agreed; the others call the seasoning exactly right, or say it needs nothing added. On this they disagree.
