감요 “Gamyo” is short for 감성요리, gamseong yori — “cooking with feeling”. The registered name is the long one; the sign, the Instagram and every blogger use the short one

Gamyo is a cooking-and-drinking house on the second floor of a building in the lane outside exit 7 at Ttukseom. The registered name is the longer 감성요리; the sign and the customers use the short one. One person cooks and serves, and the menu runs from Korean through Chinese, Japanese, Italian and Vietnamese. Three in the afternoon until midnight, one in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays. The meat dishes must be ordered ahead by phone. The posts we read run from November 2024 to September 2026.

  Spirits and wine by the bottle — one post prices a bottle of Hwayo at ₩29,000, and four remark on the length of the wine list. **Two note that cola and tonic can be had although they are not on the menu**

  **The posts disagree over whether a drink is required.** One from June 2025 says it is; one from October 2025 says the first drink must be wine or a spirit. Three posts from 2026 say a meal without drink is fine, and one of those writers came alone and ordered a Coke

  Whole prawns, heads and shells on, by one account, with clams, garlic and mushroom through it. ₩24,000 from November 2024 to February 2026 without moving. One writer came alone and ordered it with a can of Coke

Parking

7 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

There is no car park. Seven posts say so. One leaves directions to a particular car park three minutes away, booked through a taxi app, and says the others nearby were either too dear or too far. The rest simply point at the municipal ones. One adds that since you will probably be drinking, the car is better left at home.

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.

Getting inside

Second floor, no lift. Only one post says the lift outright — there is none, you climb the stairs to the door — but twenty-one say second floor. No post says whether a wheelchair or a pushchair gets in, and none counts the steps. That there are stairs is not in doubt.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• The meat dishes need ordering in advance. Eight posts say so: the braised pork belly is limited each day, and the wine-braised ribs take four hours. Two writers went for them, did not know, and ate pasta instead; three resolve to come back for them. One explains the call: time, number of people, dish. The table is worth booking too — sixteen posts advise it, and three note that one person running the place sets a limit on how many can be seated.
• The posts disagree on whether you must order a drink. A June 2025 post states flatly that you must; an October 2025 post says the first drink has to be wine or a spirit. Three posts from 2026 say otherwise — one that a meal alone is fine, one that you could come without drinking at all, and one writer who came by herself and had a can of Coke with her pasta. By date it looks as though the rule relaxed, but we could not confirm it. If you are not drinking, ask when you ring to book. For what it is worth, the drink named most often in these posts is not wine but soju.
• The posts disagree about closing days. Two say there are none; one — the sponsored post, from June 2025 — says Sundays; one implies Tuesdays. The rest do not say. On opening hours fifteen of sixteen agree on three in the afternoon to midnight; the sixteenth says ten at night, and is the oldest post we read. Eight note that Friday and Saturday run to one in the morning. One writer remembers lunch service four years ago, since discontinued.
• One post declares a sponsorship and four declare that they paid. The other seventeen say nothing. One of those is a family dinner the writer was invited to — and it records that the aunt who invited her is a regular, and that the portions and a dessert were extra that night. The dessert, the same post notes, is not on the menu. We count it as a visit, but the table she was given was not the table the other twenty-one were given. Another post opens by saying a good opportunity brought the writer back, without calling it a sponsorship.
• The posts do not agree about waiting. One says there was none; one could not photograph the room because it was full; one went back, found no table and returned another day. One advises coming early on a weekend evening, though they did not queue themselves. It reads less like a place with a queue than a place with about twenty seats that fill — which is why sixteen posts tell you to book.
• Not one of the twenty-two mentions a toilet — inside the room or out in the building.
