Epikore serves Korean food in a bowl, on a side street between Ttukseom and Seoulsup stations. Rice is topped with banchan, pickles, spreads and a sauce; you either pick each element as you move along a counter or take a ready-made combination. Nothing on the menu contains meat — the bulgogi and jeyuk are lion's-mane mushroom, the fried 'chicken' is pine mushroom, the tofu is made from pumpkin seed. Posts disagree about parking. Eight describe paid parking in the building at ₩1,000 per half hour; four say there is none and point elsewhere — a private lot three minutes away and a public one eight. We could not settle which is right, so a call ahead is the reliable way if you plan to drive.

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.

Getting inside

There is a statement that the place is wheelchair accessible, but look at where it comes from. Three posts say the entrance, toilet and seating are all accessible — and all three are copying the facility list from the shop's Naver Place entry. The first-hand sentences point elsewhere: four posts say there is no toilet inside and you scan a QR code to use the building's, and one of those calls it awkward to manage. The separate men's and women's toilets, and the accessible toilet, also come from the listing rather than from anyone's visit. We have not checked it ourselves; if you need to know, it is worth calling, and do tell us — we will put it here.

What we do not know

• The menu turns over with the seasons. Winter posts have perilla and winter radish; spring posts shepherd's purse, wild chive and orange; summer posts tomato-ssamjang bulgogi and lime-and-bamboo-shoot buckwheat noodles. Even the rice changes. What is listed here is not a promise about the day you go.
• Whether it is busy depends on the hour. Five posts describe a nearly full room or a queue forming, and all five are around midday. Those who went at four or five in the afternoon, or after six in the evening, found seats going spare. Several posts describe it as where the office workers nearby come for lunch.
• Not one post discloses sponsorship. Eight say they paid for themselves; the other twenty-four say nothing either way, and saying nothing is not the same as taking nothing. Three do mention a drink or a bowl of soup given for writing a Naver receipt review, so some of these were written by people who had received one.
• Opinion on the price splits. Two posts call it reasonable for Seongsu; two find it a lot for one meal. One of the latter, who works nearby, says it is too much to come daily and wishes for a weekday set. A signature bowl is ₩11,900, a seasonal one ₩12,900, and the set with soup and fried laver ₩14,900.
