A marinated pork rib house on the ground floor of the Seoulsup A Tower, just outside exit 6 at Ttukseom station, tucked at the back of the building. It moved here from the old Seongsu galbi alley, and nineteen of the twenty-two who went wrote about that move — one arrived expecting a shabby lane and found a modern block. Soy-marinated pork ribs over real charcoal are the signature, ordered by eighteen. But the most-praised thing here costs nothing: order meat and a clay pot of kimchi stew arrives, and fifteen writers mention it. Marinated crab comes as a side dish — in a barbecue restaurant — and the basket of leaves is large enough that three writers reach for the same comparison to a ssambap place. There is parking: two hours free in the basement, and nine people actually used it. What you pay instead is time; on a Saturday evening more than one writer waited over an hour.

  yangnyeom dwaeji-galbi (marinated pork rib)₩20,000 · ₩22,000

  **The dish the name rests on: eighteen of the twenty-two ordered it.** Soy-marinated ribs arrive half-submerged in sauce **in a battered metal basin**, to be grilled over **real charcoal** — one writer likes that you can keep re-coating the meat as you go. **Nine say the marinade is restrained**, several contrasting it with the sweeter, saltier pork ribs they are used to. **You finish by gnawing the bones**, which people leave at the cooler edge of the grill until the meat is done.

  **The price went up.** Posts from October 2025 to April 2026 record **₩20,000**; from July 2026 onward, **₩22,000**. **On tenderness people split**: one finds it soft with a little chew, another says plainly that it was not tender and that he does not see what the queue is for, and a third suspects she overcooked it herself. **Marinated meat burns**, and two writers describe turning it almost constantly.

  **It costs nothing and draws more praise than anything else here.** Order meat and a clay pot arrives; **fifteen writers mention it.** One cannot believe the size of it for a free dish, another says it is closer to braised kimchi than stew for all the pork in it, a third that other restaurants would charge for this. One writer reports people who come for the stew. **Four describe it as tasting like home.**

  **It is hot.** Three writers say so outright, one sweating through it and eating on anyway. **Rice is extra** (₩1,000) and is **black rice**, per three accounts. **When it arrives varies**: two got it when the meat was nearly gone, and one counted two-thirds of the way through her ribs.

  **A barbecue restaurant that puts marinated crab on the table as a side, and fourteen writers were struck by it.** One notes how rare it has become; another that the crab is full-fleshed although this is not a crab specialist; a third that a barbecue place serving crab has never once let her down. One recommends laying the crab meat into your lettuce wrap. **They sell it to take away**, two writers report.

  **Refills are charged** — ₩2,000, according to the writer who asked; one corporate table refilled freely and said so. **The leaves are the opposite**: one writer reports they keep refilling the lettuce on request. Thirteen writers describe the greens, **three of them reaching for the phrase "like a ssambap restaurant"** — red lettuce, perilla, danggui, kale, mustard leaf and cabbage hearts are all named.

  **₩5,000, and six ordered it after the meat.** Four had the bibim version and liked it — sharp and sweet as a palate cleanser, with shaved ice, cucumber and radish on top. **Opinion divides**: one thought it tasted bought-in though fine alongside the meat, and one found it nothing much at all.

  **It has its own hours.** One writer was told at lunch that naengmyeon was not available; another was told it starts after 5pm. With last orders at 19:30, one simply ordered hers at the beginning of the meal.

  **Beef ribs ₩40,000; galbisal and chadolbagi ₩33,000; salchisal ₩40,000.** Five ordered beef and they do not agree: one preferred the beef ribs to the pork outright, while two found the beef the lesser dish — one calling the galbisal simply ordinary. A fourth, steered to the galbisal by a waiter, says it is what she would come back for. One writer noticed that the Japanese visitors around her were all ordering beef.

  **Only four ordered the beef ribs, so little accumulates.** One was startled by the size of the bone and reassured when it opened out; she also notes the thickness means longer on the fire. One company dinner **started on pork and finished on beef.**

  **A ₩10,000 set lunch, weekdays only.** Two writers attribute it to the office towers nearby. **Only one ate it** and wrote it up — stir-fried pork with the same spread of leaves to wrap it in. Another, there on a Friday lunchtime, found the room split between the set-lunch tables and the barbecue tables.

  **The window is short** — 11:00 to 12:30 on weekdays, and one writer warns that arriving just after noon may mean missing it. **A timetable for the set lunch and the barbecue is posted at the door.**

Getting inside

We do not know whether it is step-free. None of the twenty-two accounts mentions a wheelchair, a pushchair, a ramp or a threshold. It is on the ground floor of a new building — writers direct you left of the main entrance and all the way to the back inside — so the approach appears to run through the building, but nobody says whether there is a step at the door. We would rather leave it unknown than guess; call 02-464-3012.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 7 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• Booking works on some days and not others. Two writers state flatly that there are no reservations and it is walk-in only; against that, a company party booked ahead, another writer had her meat ordered in advance, and a third simply gives the phone number as the way to book. The queueing system has changed more than once: as of September 2026 one regular reports that the Catch Table kiosk which had replaced signing up with the owner has itself been removed, and you tell the owner again. Phone ahead. Parking is two hours free, but you must mention it when you pay. Nine writers used the Seoulsup A Tower basement and had it registered; one records the overstay rate as ₩6,000 an hour. One post says simply "no parking" — a company diner who may never have tried. And one writer adds that this is a place for soju, so take the subway. When it opened and when it moved differ from post to post: 1990 or 1999 for the opening; early 2024, "two or three years ago", or "a few years back" for the move. We have no way to check, so we have not chosen between them. Several repeat that it appeared on the television programme Wednesday Food Talk — that is television, not something confirmed on site. The wall of celebrity autographs at the entrance, though, someone did see. No pets (one writer). Only one person mentions the toilets, saying they got cleaner with the move. Not one of the twenty-two mentions wheelchairs or pushchairs — all we know is that it is on the ground floor, at the back of the building. It does not always run smoothly. One regular's long account: a party of three seated at a six-top, then moved off it when six people arrived, then waiting again; drinks asked for three times; the rice arriving halfway through the ribs. She adds that ordering is normally quick and this particular evening was unusual — and that she will be going back.
• Nobody writes about floors. The address is units 101–103 on the ground floor of the Seoulsup A Tower and every post copies it, but not one mentions an upstairs or any stairs. One writer states there are no private rooms; several describe booth-divided seating for four, six and eight, and tables pushed together for larger parties. Two note the high ceiling.
