An English home-cooking restaurant half a flight up ("floor 1.5") in a building on the lane facing Gate 4 of Seoul Forest. Shepherd's pie at 29,000 won appears in almost every post, and 16 of the 21 visits ordered it; most pairs add a pasta or risotto (24,000–32,000 won) and share, with one couple's bill coming to 54,000 won. Six visits ordered the beef Wellington (55,000 won on the menu). Most prices are read off menu photos. We read 30 posts dated 20 August to 3 October 2026, set aside 4 about other places, and counted 21 actual visits.

Rows without a count: 3 of 11 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The window seats look straight onto Seoul Forest: twelve posts mention the trees outside or being seated by the window. One writer asked for a window table when booking; a returning visitor hoped aloud to get one this time, having missed out before.
  2. Reservations via CatchTable or Naver are possible but not required: six posts booked or said booking works, while noting walk-ins are seated if there is room. One post advises pre-ordering the beef Wellington when booking, since it takes about 30 minutes.
  3. You order on a tablet or kiosk at the table, according to three posts; one adds that you pay at the end, another that it offers several languages.
  4. There is a review event: three posts say writing a review gets you a salad, or a choice of salad or draught beer.
3 more
  1. The room is small: three posts call it cramped or not large (around six tables, with baskets for bags); only one called it spacious.
  2. Portions run generous: three posts say so, including a party of three who ordered four dishes and couldn't finish — and found it a bit rich by the end.
  3. Reachable by subway: three posts give an 8–10 minute walk from Seoul Forest station (exit 5 or 4) or Ttukseom station (exit 8). Several mention spotting it by the red phone box and green sign.

Parking

1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot1 of 19 posts

There appears to be no parking of its own. One post states it directly and lists nearby paid lots; a visitor who drove parked at the Seoul Forest public lot. The 'no parking' lines elsewhere are copied info blocks.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Reachable by subway: three posts give an 8–10 minute walk from Seoul Forest station (exit 5 or 4) or Ttukseom station (exit 8). Several mention spotting it by the red phone box and green sign.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 4 (of 19 posts read)
Toilet inside1 of 19 posts

It is not a basement but half a floor up: four posts say so. You climb a short flight of stairs to the door, with another business below; one writer's mother walked past it to the next floor.

No post says whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in, or whether there is a step. They only mention a half flight of stairs and say nothing about a lift — unknown, not absent.

Only one post mentions the toilet, saying it is inside the restaurant; nobody says whether it is gender-separated or how big it is.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 24 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-08-203 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post reports waiting. One walked in at weekday opening with no queue, another says you wait if it is full, and there is a waiting bench inside. How long weekend evenings take, nobody says.
  • Only one post raises price, wondering if it was a bit expensive before deciding it was worth it. Apart from one couple's 54,000 won, nobody gives a full bill.
  • Most posts give opening hours of 11:30–21:00 (Sunday to 20:00) with a break from 14:30. The break usually ends at 17:30 on weekdays and 17:00 at weekends, though some posts say 17:00 or 17:30 every day, and one alone lists 21:30 closing and a noon weekend opening. No post mentions a day off. Most of this is copied from info blocks, so check before going.
  • Eleven posts give the phone number as 0507-1403-0851; one gives 02-6448-0812. Most who reserved did so through CatchTable or Naver rather than by phone.
  • Four posts from 20–21 August 2026 share the same dish order and the shop's own promotional phrasing, with no prices, companions or seating details; we treat them as commissioned copy, not visits. Blue Ribbon, TV appearances and the chef's Michelin background are the shop's own claims and not used as evidence. Posts about the Jamsil and Yeonnam branches were set aside.
