Villa de Bleu

빌라드블루 성수 Billadeubeullu Seongsu Villa de Bleu reads as French for 'villa of blue' — the room is done in blue-and-white tiles to evoke a southern-European seaside villa.

Compiled from 23 blog posts read in fullSources →

A southern-Italian, Mediterranean-styled restaurant on the ground floor of a side street off Seoulsup 2-gil, described by several posts as the second branch of Villa de Bleu in Haebangchon. The draws are a lasagna with aligot cheese poured over it at the table (22,000 won) and polpo mambo, a grilled octopus dish (25,000 won): of 24 visits, 18 ordered the lasagna and 14 the octopus. There is a terrace under blue awnings and a blue-tiled dining room, and you order by scanning a QR code on the back of a seashell on each table. We read 30 posts from 16 September to 5 October 2026; three were about the Haebangchon branch and set aside, one only introduced the place among others, and two were park-outing posts whose authors wrote up the same meal separately, so we did not count them twice.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The terrace is the point of the place: 16 of 24 visits wrote about it — the seats under blue awnings out front and a quieter set along the side of the building. It fills on fine days; one post found the outdoor seats fully booked two days ahead, and two ended up indoors (sold out on a weekend, or arriving early).
  2. Ordering is by phone: 11 visits described turning over the seashell on the table to find a QR code that opens the menu.
  3. Eleven visits booked ahead, via Naver or CatchTable, choosing indoor or terrace when booking; one noted the deposit is cancelled automatically on arrival.
  4. Portions run small: all 4 visits that mentioned size said so — three people ordering four dishes still felt short, and one was startled by how little octopus arrived. Three visits called it pricey.
4 more
  1. Posting a review gets you the olive-oil ice cream (9,000 won on the menu); 8 visits mentioned the offer, two of them having missed it.
  2. Three visits brought a dog. There are rules: indoors only small dogs in a closed carrier, and on the terrace a dog stroller, per one post; another says dogs inside must stay in a bag. One diner guessed half the customers had dogs.
  3. Seven visits were with friends, 3 with a partner, 3 with family and 2 as a group outing — one a five-person wedding-invitation lunch with five dishes.
  4. Two visits brought children. One used the wooden high chair and warns that their toddler's hand got pinched while unfolding it.

Parking

1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot1 of 23 posts

One visit reported no on-site parking and recommended the Ttukseom reservoir public lot (1,800 won an hour, 8–10 minutes' walk) over the closer but busier sports-centre lot. Other posts' 'no parking' lines are copied listings.

Where it is

Map showing where Villa de Bleu is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

3 posts say it is walkable from the station.

Getting inside

The address says ground floor, but no post described the floor or any steps on the way in.

No one wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair — that means nobody mentioned it, not that there is no barrier.

No post said where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 26 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Service reports split: 2 visits found staff kind, 1 felt dishes were all but tossed onto the table, and 1 said staff seemed swamped but not rude.
  • Three visits found the seasoning on the salty side; one said it was pleasantly less salty than in Spain.
  • Waiting is unclear: one visit queued to get in, and two saw walk-ins turned away when tables were full. No one recorded how long a wait was.
  • Three visits found it easy by subway (Seoul Forest or Ttukseom stations). Lines like 'five minutes from exit 5' are copied; no one wrote about coming by bus.
  • Opening hours are copied differently from post to post. Eleven say closed Mondays (one from 5 October lists Monday–Friday opening). Eight say weekends run to 22:00, eight give 21:00 every day. The break is almost always 15:30–17:00; one post says 15:00. All are copied listings — check before going.
  • Prices are from September–October 2026. The most common order for two — lasagna plus octopus — comes to 47,000 won.
  • Seven posts give the phone number 0507-1308-8242. Two copy a notice that online booking takes up to six; larger groups should call.
  • All posts fall in the first three weeks after opening, and several repeat the same promotional lines — the 28 indoor and 26 terrace seats, '23 million views', the 'muse's atelier' concept — which look like a press kit. None disclosed sponsorship; four said they paid. We did not count those lines.
