What sets it apart
- Of the 20 visit posts that describe the taste, 17 call it spicy — one says it made their nose run, and even self-declared spice lovers say they broke a sweat. The other 3 found it milder: more of a sharp tingle than real heat, not that hot, or less hot than usual that day. Several posts say the broth is built on chili flakes and cheongyang peppers rather than gochujang, so it finishes clean.
- Eleven posts say the room is small. The counts they give are five, five or six, six, or about seven two-person tables — 12 or 14 seats. Four posts warn that solo diners may be seated with strangers, and one says it is the kind of place where you slurp and leave.
- Five posts waited and two did not. Two say the room fills at the 11:30 opening and a line starts forming around 11:40; one waited 15 minutes behind a single party. Of the 27 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree on speed. Two say the food was slow (about 15 minutes, or roughly the time it takes to cook instant noodles); one says it came out very fast. Two posts note the owner starts cooking only once you order.
- The price has changed. Posts through August 2026 give 13,000 won for the soup; two posts announce a rise to 15,000 won from 1 September, but no post yet says they paid the new price. Opinions on value split: one says pricey, one says fair, one says not cheap but reasonable.
- Opening hours have changed. Two 2025 posts list weekdays 11:30–15:30 and Saturday 12:00–16:00; 2026 posts list weekdays 11:30–14:30. For Saturday, a January 2026 post still gives 12:00–16:00, posts from March on give 12:00–15:00, and some just say Monday to Saturday 11:30–14:30. Every post agrees it is closed on Sundays. Most of these hours were copied from listings, and several posts say it closes early when it sells out.
- The steamed dumplings appear to be gone. 2025 posts say they were sold (or takeout only) and they were still listed in March 2026, but posts from June and August 2026 say the shop no longer makes them.
- Three posts walked from the subway — eight minutes from exit 5 of Seoul Forest station, or in from Ttukseom station. No one wrote about getting there by bus.
- No one says whether you can book. Four posts list the same phone number, 010-8977-1505, and one heard takeout orders coming in by phone throughout the meal — but no post mentions a reservation.
- Only one post says dogs are welcome, and it is a list promoting a pet app that also names a menu item no other post mentions (a beef and mushroom bibimbap), so we did not count it. We don't know whether dogs are allowed.
