AayAan is a dessert café on the third floor of a walk-up building at 3 Wangsimni-ro 4ga-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, which also pours cocktails at night. What sets it apart
- When people are waiting, seating is time-limited. Four posts mention it: three say 90 minutes, while one early-July visit said two hours. One post also notes a one-order-per-person rule.
- Two posts waited for a table. One had to queue even on a weekday and says the café phones you when your turn comes, so you can wander off. The other got the last free table around 3:10 pm on a Sunday and watched the queue grow after 3:30. One post walked straight in on a weekday evening. Another weekday-afternoon visit says the ice cream took about 30 minutes to arrive.
- The room is dark wood and dim lighting, but a wall of glass at the far end lets in strong daylight; six posts mention it. One warns that the backlight can be harsh in the afternoon and that staff do not allow moving furniture to avoid it.
- Four posts mention an outdoor terrace. One only took photos there before retreating indoors from the heat; another found it closed on a rainy day.

There is no lift. Three posts say so outright, and others describe climbing past a ground-floor barbecue place and a second-floor izakaya to reach the third floor. Several also say the building is hard to spot from the street; look for a small wooden sign.
We only know it is three flights of stairs with no lift; nobody wrote about steps at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That is an absence of reports, not a confirmed barrier.
Two posts say the restroom is inside the café, one calling it very clean. Nobody says whether it is separated by gender.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 7 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opening hours changed over time: four posts up to early June give 12:30–23:30, eight from late June give 12:30–23:00 with last orders at 22:00. Closing days also disagree — most say open daily, one says closed Mondays, one guesses every other Monday. One post's 12:00–21:00 comes from a garbled info block and we set it aside. Check the café's Instagram before going.
- Prices rose between June and July 2026: the Lucky Berry ice cream went from 12,000 to 13,000 won, and a late-July post notes some items had gone up. Two posts call it expensive — one says 13,000 won is a rip-off, the other found 12,000 won steep but worth it. A dessert plus a drink comes to just over 20,000 won.
- The 3–5 minute walk from Ttukseom or Seoul Forest station is repeated from listings; no post describes the walk from the station first-hand, beyond one noting there is no shade on the way.
- Six posts went with friends, and one each went as a group, as a couple and alone. None went with family or children.
- Two posts list the phone number 070-7537-0508 (one of them a roundup); another gives a different number from a garbled info block. No post says whether reservations are taken; one says the café phones you from the waiting list.
- Five of the seven roundup posts are Instagram curation lists from the same magazine accounts, listing only name, address and hours; we did not count them. Two posts by one blogger about the same visit were treated as one.
