Gohyang Yangkkochi
고향양꼬치 Gohyang means hometown and yangkkochi means lamb skewers, so the name reads as 'hometown lamb skewers'.

A lamb-skewer house on the skewer alley near Konkuk University Station exit 5 (Dongil-ro 18-gil 101). These days it runs an all-you-can-eat deal for skewers plus hot dishes: 26,900 won per adult for two hours. You pick skewers yourself from a fridge case (plain, marinated and mala lamb, lamb belly, beef, pork skirt, shrimp, fish balls) and set them over the charcoal at your table; sweet-and-sour pork, fried eggplant and stir-fried bean sprouts come from a self-bar. Drinks are extra, and posts say you can still order à la carte. It used to be an à la carte place — one post quoting 2024 reviews gives 16,000 won for a serving of lamb skewers and hours of 11:30 to 1 a.m. We read 30 posts from July 15 to October 13, 2026; 25 of them describe actually eating here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You grill the skewers yourself, but you barely have to turn them: nine posts describe slotting them into a rotisserie over the charcoal that spins them automatically. Staff bring the coals when you sit down, and one post said they swapped in fresh charcoal and checked the fire through the meal. Nine posts ordered on a table tablet or kiosk; drinks are ordered there and then taken from the fridge yourself.
- Expect to wait in the evening. Nine posts waited or saw a line: 30 minutes on a Friday at 8 p.m., 20 minutes, under 10 minutes on another Friday night. On a Saturday at 8 p.m. one post found even the private rooms full, with tables only freeing up after 9. One post says you take a number ticket inside; another mentions chairs out front for waiting. One post walked straight in. The two posts that booked for 5 p.m. watched the room fill by about 6.
- There are private rooms off the main hall: seventeen posts saw or used one. One post that was seated in a room found it hot from the charcoal. The minimum party size for a room (eight or more) is mostly the house's own notice, repeated. Nineteen posts said the place is large.
- Eleven posts said the lamb had little or no gamey smell, and none said otherwise; one notes a smell-sensitive six-year-old ate happily. Nearly every post repeats that the buffet meat is the same as the à la carte meat, but that is the house's claim, so we did not count it. One post found the beef and a few other skewers chewy.
2 more
- Food for two comes to 53,800 won, drinks extra. Bills people recorded: 55,800 won with a cola (2,000), 63,800 won with a non-alcoholic Tsingtao (3,000) and warm noodles (7,000), and a 7,000 won bottle of Tsingtao on top. Two posts mention a 1,000 won charge per grilled skewer left uneaten. Six posts felt it was good value; one wasn't sure they ate their money's worth.
- Eight posts mention a free bottle of erguotou or non-alcoholic Tsingtao for leaving a Naver receipt review; one actually claimed it.

Parking
4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

The restaurant has no lot of its own; people use the Jayang 4-dong public lot right next door (several posts copy the rate as 250 won per 5 minutes). Four posts wrote about parking from experience. Of the three that drove, two found that lot full — one saw cars queuing to get in — and both parked at the larger Jayang 4-dong traditional market lot instead, 200 won per 5 minutes and about a five-minute walk. One parked next door without trouble.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
5 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post describes which floor the dining room is on or any stairs. The address says ground floor, but nobody wrote it from experience, so we don't know.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a stroller or wheelchair. One post came with a six-year-old but said nothing about the entrance. That means no one mentioned it, not that there is a problem.
Five posts copy an info line saying the restrooms are inside and separated by gender, but nobody described actually using them, so we did not count it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts about this place cluster in August to October 2026 and repeat the same lines: the buffet is new, the buffet meat matches the à la carte meat, the receipt-review freebie, and an info block listing address, hours, phone and parking in the same order. Three posts disclose sponsorship, four say they were given the meal, four say they paid, and nineteen say nothing. We counted only what people experienced — waits, parking, smell.
- We could not pin down when the buffet started: one post says 2025, another September 2025, and most just say 'recently'. It is already in place in the earliest post we read (July 2026). Prices and hours from the à la carte days appear in only one post, quoting 2024 reviews.
- Twenty-one posts give the same hours, noon to midnight, sixteen of them with last orders at 10 p.m., but all of it sits in copied info blocks. Only one post says it is open every day of the year. The post quoting 2024 reviews gave 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Two phone numbers circulate: 010-3049-3568 in fifteen posts and 02-498-3618 in six. Two posts booked through Naver reservations for a 5 p.m. table.
