Sushi Mizugiwa's Hogye-Maegok branch sits on the ground floor beside the Uri Mart in the Hogye redevelopment district, in the north of Ulsan. It is a sushi restaurant, and the thing people order most is the stone-plate yakisoba — beef brisket and water dropwort fried on a hot stone over a burner, finished by tipping rice into what is left of the sauce. The sushi is made from fish brought in each morning and cold-aged, and it is pressed without wasabi inside; the wasabi sits on the table instead. Sets for two, three and four put the sushi, the yakisoba and a hambak steak on one table, starting at ₩44,900. Eleven in the morning to nine at night, with an afternoon break. Parking

21 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Driving is fine. There is a dedicated space beside the shop, but it holds only three or four cars — one post says three, three say four. When it is full people use the road outside; several mention free space on the empty lot across the crossing or beside the neighbouring supermarket. One writer found it tight enough that she just parked in the side street; another, a new driver, found it easy. Nobody reports paying.

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.

Getting inside

Not one post records, from having looked, whether there is a step at the door, a ramp, or room for a wheelchair or a pushchair. People mention the ground floor; nobody mentions the entrance. Two posts do contain the words 'wheelchair accessible', but in both cases the phrase sits inside a copied run of listing facts — birthday offer, groups welcome, booking, high chairs, takeaway, delivery, waiting area — so we have not counted it as something anyone saw. Only two posts describe the toilets at all: one says there is one inside the restaurant, the other that what looked like a shared one turns out to be split by sex.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• No post explains how to get here without a car. They place it by the local schools, the Hogye apartment estate and the Uri Mart, but nobody says which bus stop, or how far the walk is. Almost everyone who wrote either drove or already lived nearby — 'near my office', 'near our house', 'popular with people in the neighbourhood'. This part of northern Ulsan has no metro, so it may well be hard to reach without a car or a bus, and we cannot confirm either way.
• This is one branch of a chain, and everything we counted is this branch's. Other branches turn up in the posts — the original in Ujeong, plus Daldong and Guyeong-ri. One writer came here because the other branch had been good; another says all three of those have enormous queues, which is a fact about them, not about this one. This branch also moved and grew: one post says it relocated from a shopping arcade in another apartment complex, one that it expanded in July 2025, and one that the renewal changed the room enough to surprise a returning customer. Our earliest post is August 2025, so nearly everything we read describes the room as it is now.
• One post declares a sponsorship, tagging it at the very top. Seven others state they paid for everything. The remaining twenty-one say nothing either way. Separately, one of the thirty posts we collected is not counted as a visit at all: its menu and prices are lifted straight from the shop's Naver listing with the same link repeated four times, the only record of eating is 'two pieces of sushi', and it says the wasabi was nicely judged. This restaurant presses its sushi without wasabi — twelve posts say so — which is not something you could write after eating here.
• There is a hole in the set prices. The value set at ₩44,900, the generous set at ₩53,900, the two-person stone-plate set at ₩51,900 and the three-person chef's set at ₩73,900 are all confirmed by more than one post — but five parties ordered the largest, four-person set and not one of them wrote down what it cost. And the piece count on the big sushi plate does not agree: three posts from May and June 2026 say twenty, a September post says seventeen. Whether it shrank or these are two items, we could not tell. Nothing got more expensive between August 2025 and September 2026.
