NOOP

눕 Nup Nup is the stem of the Korean verb nupda, 'to lie down', spelled NOOP on the sign; bloggers joke about lying on the rooftop swing beds, and the place used to be known as Noop Cafe.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

Noop is a pizza pub on the 5th and 6th floors of a large building on Sinheung-ro 26-gil, just below Haebangchon's Sinheung Market. People order long rectangular pizzas (21,500 or 25,500 won), pasta or salad with a 9,500-won draft beer and eat on a two-level rooftop facing the sunset and Namsan Tower; inside there is a pool table, plus swing beds and dome seats. We read 30 posts from December 14, 2025 to October 17, 2026; 26 describe an actual visit. 18 sat on the rooftop, 18 drank beer and 12 called the place spacious. Friends were the most common company (9 posts), then partners (3) and family (2). Three posts found the food just average, and most say they came for the view. It used to be called Noop Cafe.

When it opens
Daily11:30–23:5010 of 12 posts

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The rooftop has two levels, and it fills up around sunset. Eighteen posts sat up there. One recommends the 6th floor because bars partly block the view from the 5th, and says the seats were already filling at 5 p.m. Another says crowds poured in as soon as the sun began to set. Several mention blankets for the chilly evenings, and one says they ran out if you came late.
  2. You can't order only drinks. Four posts say food must come with them. An October 3, 2026 post describes a family of four who had already eaten dinner, showed up around 9 p.m., and were caught off guard by the rule of one food item per two people. Orders are placed at the counter by the elevator, where model pizzas help you choose.
  3. Prices: pizzas are 21,500 won (gorgonzola, pepperoni, cheese mania) or 25,500 won (Hawaiian shrimp, salmon steak, bulgogi, crunch potato). Pasta is 17,500 or 18,500 won, avocado salad 19,500 won, and a draft beer 9,500 won. Receipts in the posts: one pizza and two draft beers for two came to 44,500 won, and one pizza with a Guinness and a cola to 38,500 won. Two posts called it pricey, one said the prices weren't outrageous for the view, and two brought up price without a verdict. Two got a free drink through a review event.

The most ordered dish is saengmaekju (생맥주) — 11 of 25 posts.

Parking

4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park4 of 25 posts

Four posts describe parking from experience, but they disagree on size: one says the lot is big enough to just drive in, another saw room for only two or three cars. That parking is free comes from the one post that drove there and from copied info blocks. A 3,000-won prepaid valet was hearsay, so we didn't count it.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 6 (of 25 posts read)
Lift to the floor9 of 25 posts

The restaurant is not underground. It's on the 5th and 6th floors, and six posts describe riding up from the car park to the 5th floor. The lounge and order counter are right outside the elevator, and the rooftop is out to the right.

The way in is through the underground car park. Nine posts took the elevator. One writer circled the building looking for a door before finding it by the car park, and several mention that the day's sunset time is posted in front of the elevator.

No post says anything about getting in with a wheelchair or stroller, or about a step at the entrance. There is an elevator, but one writer reached it by following signs down a flight of stairs into the car park, and another mentions a sign saying the stair side is not an entrance. We don't know whether there's a step-free route to the elevator.

No post says where the toilets are or whether there's one on each floor. One post says they were kept clean and mentions a hand-washing sink in the dining area. That the toilets are split by gender appears only in a copied info block.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • From the station it's a steep uphill walk. Three posts found public transport workable. One walked from Noksapyeong Station and compared the climb to hiking. Another came by subway and village bus and said the bus stops right outside. One more found the packed, jerky Yongsan 02 village bus bad enough to never take again.
  • No post describes queueing to get in. A visit on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 6 p.m. walked straight in. A group of five that same month found the line at the order counter very long by evening, but that was a line to order, not to enter. We don't know how long the wait is on weekend evenings.
  • No post praises the staff. One said the service did not come across as especially friendly and that tables were slow to be cleared after guests left.
  • Twelve visit posts list opening hours: eleven say 11:30 to 23:50 daily, one says 11:50 to 23:50. Nearly all are copied info blocks, not times anyone confirmed in person. No post gives a last-order time, and 'no break time' appears in only one copied block.
  • Several posts copy the phone number 02-790-0789, but no one wrote about booking by phone. The only mention of no reservations and no remote waitlist (walk-ins only) is a copied info block in one post.
  • The ordering rule changed. A December 2025 post called the place a café-pub. An October 3, 2026 post says the writer used to drop in just for beer but found that the policy had recently changed. A September 2026 post refers to it as 'NOOP Pizza (formerly Noop Cafe)'. We don't know exactly when it changed, only that it was before August 26, 2026, when a post already notes that drinks-only orders were not allowed.
