Haebang Sikdang
해방식당 Haebang is taken from the neighbourhood name Haebangchon (literally 'liberation village'), and sikdang simply means eatery.

Haebang Sikdang is a small fusion place on Sinheung-ro 22-gil in Haebangchon, Yongsan, right by Sinheung Market. The menu folds Korean ingredients into Western dishes, like pasta with salted hairtail jeotgal, squid-ink risotto, and a stone-pot bowl of crisp fried eggplant, and you order by QR code. Prices in August 2026 posts were 18,000 won for the eggplant bowl and the butter curry chicken, 22,000 won for mackerel stone-pot rice, and 23,000 won for the pasta and risotto. We read 4 posts dated 13 August to 11 September 2026, and all 4 describe actual visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Three posts walked straight in without waiting: one at weekday lunch, one near last order, and one that gave no time. One of them noticed a sign on the door saying you register for the queue when the place is full, and another had heard it usually has a line. We treat those as posted or hearsay, not counted.
- Three posts described the seating. A Saturday-noon visitor counted about four 4-person and six 2-person tables; another also saw a bar counter. The weekday-lunch visitor found the 2-person table a bit small for two and thought the larger tables were held back for bigger groups. One post called the room not very big.
- Two posts ordered by scanning a QR code at the table, and both noted separate QR codes for pay-later and pay-first.
- One post took the 02 village bus from Namyeong Station; another got lost in the alleys a few times on the way.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station

Getting inside
No post described the floor from experience; the '1st floor' in the address is copied text.
Nobody said whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. That is unknown, not a no.
One post praised the toilet as decorated like a showroom, but nobody said whether it is inside the restaurant or separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- A returning visitor in August 2026 noted that the floor-seating spot facing the big front window, there two years earlier, is gone.
- Heat is split one to one: the mapo tofu bowl struck one diner as increasingly spicy and salty, while the butter curry chicken was called not fiery. They were different dishes.
- Opening hours come only from copied blocks in three posts: 11:30-21:40, break 15:40-17:00, last orders 14:40 and 20:40. No post gave a closing day.
- Two posts gave different phone numbers (0507-1382-7050 and 070-4042-7050). One copied a note about weekday Naver bookings for 3-4 people and CatchTable, but no one actually booked.
