에그앤플라워 Egeu aen peullawo Egg & Flour names the two basic ingredients of fresh pasta, which the kitchen rolls in-house.

Compiled from 13 blog posts read in fullSources →

Egg & Flour is a fresh-pasta restaurant on the second floor of 35 Sinheung-ro 26-gil in Haebangchon, Yongsan, Seoul. Posts describe it as run by chefs Kim Hee-eun and Yoon Dae-hyun, the couple behind Soul in the same building's basement. Pastas run 27,000–30,000 won, and posts give 109,000 won for the two-person lunch set and 150,000 won for dinner. Eleven of the 13 visit posts ate the signature red-shrimp squid-ink capellini. Most booked through Catchtable, and the window seats facing Namsan come up more than anything else. We read 30 posts dated 25 June to 16 October 2026. Thirteen are first-hand meals and fifteen are write-ups by people who didn't go, mostly around the 9 October episode of the TV show Tasty Guys. We set aside two that were about other restaurants (Haebang Sikdang and Soul).

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Eight of the 13 visit posts mention the big windows. Getting one of those seats isn't easy. One post said the window tables are all two-tops, so a party of three with a child was seated in the main room. Another said window seats go first-come to whoever books first, and suggested booking early and calling ahead. One pair was seated by the window; another wished they had been. Two posts timed their visit for sunset, around 5:30–6 pm.
  2. Seven of the 13 visit posts booked ahead, all through Catchtable. One said the next month's slots open at midnight on the 15th, though there was more availability than expected. Another paid a 60,000-won deposit that was refunded automatically after arriving on time. One post saw a notice that walk-ins were not taken at the weekend.
  3. Several posts say drinks are compulsory at dinner. Only one specifies one drink per person; four others just say wine or alcohol must be ordered, without saying how much. Six posts mention alcohol-free wine, and two price it at 15,000 won a glass. Seven visit posts drank wine or champagne.
  4. Most posts don't find it expensive. Five say so, calling the prices reasonable or startling value; one table of three paid 99,000 won for three pastas and fries. One post disagreed, saying portions were small for the price and a small can of cola cost 6,000 won. Another was mixed: not cheap, but worth it. A pair paid 112,000 won for three dishes and two glasses of alcohol-free wine.

  1. Salt comes up. One post said most dishes run salty. Another ordered reduced salt and then advised readers to stick with the default, since pasta should be a little salty. Both noted that some pastas can be ordered less salty.

Getting inside

Second floor5 of 13 posts

You eat on the second floor; five posts say so. One said the dining room is one flight up from the entrance level. Another was told the ground floor is a private space and was shown upstairs. One post saw everything from two-tops to group tables and a private room.

No post puts Egg & Flour underground; the basement is Soul. Beyond one post saying the dining room is a floor above the entrance level, nobody spells out the floor layout.

We don't know about wheelchair or stroller access. Nobody mentioned a step at the door or a lift. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is none. One post mentions stairs at the entrance, and others describe the steep Haebangchon lanes on the way.

No post describes the toilets first-hand. A line saying they are inside and split by gender came from a copied info block, so we did not count it.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 15 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-102 posts in one day
2026-10-094 posts in one day
2026-10-084 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only one post describes getting there by public transport: bus 402 to Sinheung Market. Nobody gives a walking time from a station. One post called it quite awkward to reach on foot. The 'use public transport' advice is mostly copied from listings.
  • We don't know what the walk-in wait is like; no post queued without a booking. A 5:30 pm weekday booking walked straight in. Someone who arrived early for a noon booking found people waiting and noted the doors open five minutes before service.
  • Service splits one to one: one table of four was given an extra shrimp and praised the staff, while another found the service lacklustre. Noise splits the same way: quiet on an early weekday evening for one post, echoey enough to make talking hard for another.
  • Seven visit posts give the same hours: 12:00–22:00 daily, with last orders at 14:00 for lunch and 21:00 for dinner. Most of these were copied from the listing. Six give the break as 15:00–17:30 and one as 15:00–17:00. No visit post states a closing day.
  • Over ten posts give 0507-1328-7681; 02-3789-7681 appears only in a group of near-identical promotional posts. Everyone who booked did so on Catchtable, so we don't know whether phone reservations work.
  • Information-only posts piled up around the 9 October Tasty Guys episode. Three of them share the same link and wording, so we treated them as promotion, not visits. Nobody reports eating the broadcast dishes (kkakdugi gambas, sesame-sauce pork) off the regular menu. One July post covers a one-off collaboration course with another chef (150,000 won for two), not the usual menu.
