Hotel De GGOODD

오뗄드꾸뜨 Ottel Deu Kkutteu Hôtel de GGOODD — French for 'hotel of', with an extra G and D doubled into GOOD, which several posts explain as the owners' pledge to serve an even better atmosphere and food.

Compiled from 28 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Western-style restaurant half a flight up a staircase, on the 1.5th floor of a brick building in a Yeonnam-dong side street. It serves pasta, risotto, a house steak and French toast, plus wine and beer. In 2026 posts pastas ran 17,000–19,000 won and the steak 35,000 won; one pair paid 41,000 won and another 50,000 won for two or three plates and drinks. Today you order from a QR code on the table; until November 2025 you ordered and paid at the counter first. We read 30 posts dated 1 November 2024 to 16 October 2026, 29 of them from people who ate there. Nineteen of the 30 were posted in the single week of 10–16 October 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Waits split six to five. Those who queued recorded 10 minutes, 10–20 minutes, 20 minutes and about 40 minutes; one arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday to find the line running up the inside stairs and waited about 40 minutes, and others met queues at 12:20 on a weekday and 6 pm on a Thursday. Two posts (February 2025, July 2026) said there is no waiting list — you just stand in line on the stairs. The five who walked straight in came after 1 pm on a Saturday, at 12:40 on a weekday, or in the evening.
  2. Nine posts remarked on how many foreign diners there were: one stood in a Sunday line between Japanese tourists, another guessed the room was 60 percent Korean and 40 percent foreign, and one noticed that the sign at the door asking people to try a sister restaurant during long waits was written only in English.
  3. Ten posts mentioned the big windows; several sat at a window over the Yeonnam-dong alley, and one, seated in the back room, looked out on a hanok behind the building.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 6 (of 28 posts read)
Step at the entrance11 of 28 posts
Toilet inside1 of 28 posts

There are steps up to the door: eleven posts said you climb half a flight of stairs beside the building to reach the entrance. No one described it as a basement; six called it the 1.5th floor.

We don't know whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in. Eleven posts mention climbing stairs, and none mentions a ramp or lift. One family brought a baby but didn't say how they got in. That means no one wrote about it, not that there is no access.

Only one post (February 2025) said the toilet is inside the restaurant. Another described the mirror and lighting in it, but no one said whether there are separate men's and women's toilets.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • The ordering system changed. Two posts from February and November 2025 ordered and paid at the counter; seventeen posts from June 2026 on ordered by QR at the table, and one October 2026 post paid on the way out. The menu changed in the same period: a pea, basil and shrimp cream pasta replaced the basil shrimp pasta with pollock roe, and a carrot-and-duck aglio e olio replaced the duck-steak version.
  • The opening hours we have are all copied from the listing. Twenty-three of the 24 posts that give hours say 11:00–20:00 daily with last orders at 19:00; one says 21:00. No one wrote about a closing day or afternoon break from experience.
  • Prices have gone up. Comparing posts from December 2024–February 2025 with 2026: the honey-bacon rosé pasta rose from 17,000 to 18,000 won, the house steak from 33,000 to 35,000 won, and the honeycomb fruit French toast from 14,000 to 15,000 won. The jambon truffle risotto is split three to three between 16,000 and 17,000 won even within 2026. Three posts called the prices reasonable; none called them expensive.
  • Fifteen posts give the phone number 0507-1326-8430. Several copied a note that bookings are taken through Naver; the one person who actually tried found the next month already full and queued on the day instead.
  • Nineteen posts from 10–16 October 2026 use the same keyword phrases in the same order and paste the same info block; only one of them says it was sponsored. Each names what was eaten, so we counted them as visits, but keep in mind that this one week supplies about two-thirds of the posts. Two posts from November and December 2024 were also sponsored blogger visits.
