Knock Knock

녹녹 Noknok A pun: 녹녹 (nok-nok) sounds like the English 'knock knock', and 녹 is also the first syllable of 녹색, green — the building and interior are green, as posts point out.

Compiled from 23 blog posts read in fullSources →

Noknok is a two-storey bakery café at 139 Seongmisan-ro in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, near the Gyeongui Line Forest Park. We read 30 posts dated 9 September to 9 October 2026; two were about other places and three were lists or a property listing, leaving 25 written by people who went. Drinks are ordered at a kiosk and bread is picked from the counter. Many posts give the americano as 3,800 won to drink in and 1,900 won to take away. The ground floor is dark green and black with a big central sofa; the upper floor is brighter, with long tables. Seven posts put it a 4–10 minute walk from Exit 3 of Hongik Univ. Station.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. On price the posts point one way: of 18 that discussed it, 15 said it was not expensive and none said it was. They cite a 3,800-won americano, a 3,900-won latte, the 1,900-won takeaway sign at the door and 4,400-won flavoured lattes. One post paid under 15,000 won for a latte and two pastries; another paid 13,000 won for a latte and the fig-mugwort chiffon.
  2. People come here to work: 8 posts found sockets at their seats and 10 called it quiet. Sockets are on the long tables, the wall-side bar seats and the window seats; one post found the Wi-Fi fast enough to work comfortably.
  3. Two posts saw a notice limiting stays to two hours on weekends and public holidays, and one mentions a sign that unattended seats may be cleared.

Parking

6 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park6 of 23 posts

There is parking, but not much; 6 posts describe it first-hand. The spot right in front of the door is off-limits; one car fits at the far end out front, and others line up from the back beside the garland. One post estimates 3–4 cars, and takeaway customers may not park. The 'weekdays after 17:30, any time on weekends' rule is mostly repeated hearsay — one post parked around lunchtime on a weekday without trouble.

Getting inside

Second floor15 of 23 posts
Separate restrooms4 of 23 posts

There is a separate upper floor with a different feel; 15 posts mention it. The ground floor is dim and sofa-centred, the upper floor bright with daylight and quiet, full of people on laptops. Two posts say you reach it by going out through an automatic door beside the counter and up a staircase. Several posts say dogs are allowed upstairs only.

No post mentions a basement; the café is described as ground and upper floor only. A property listing mentions a rooftop, but no visitor wrote about one.

No one wrote about a step at the entrance, wheelchair or pram access, or a lift — not that there is none, just that nobody said. Two posts say the upper floor is reached by stairs.

Four posts say the toilets are separate, women's on the ground floor and men's upstairs. They sit by the passage and stairs between floors, so we cannot tell from the posts whether they are inside the café proper.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 26 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post describes queuing. One says there were no seats on an earlier spring visit, and another found it too busy to take photos.
  • Of those who said who they came with, 5 came alone, 3 with friends and 1 with a partner; the rest didn't say.
  • Opening hours: 14 visitor posts agree on 08:30–23:30 daily, mostly copied from an info block. The upper floor closes at 21:00 Sunday to Thursday (three posts) and 23:00 Friday and Saturday (one post). One October 8 post copied a block saying 08:30–24:00 with Mondays and Tuesdays off, and a list post gave different hours again; neither matches the rest, so we did not count them.
  • Visitors agree on a 3,800-won americano, but a property listing gives 4,500 won; no visitor post shows that price.
  • The phone number 0507-1424-1269 appears in five posts, copied from an info block. No one said whether reservations are taken.
  • Sixteen posts cluster between 9 and 17 September 2026, many covering the 1,900-won takeaway, parking and dogs in the same order. Only one says it was a hosted visit; the rest say nothing about sponsorship. A 14 September 2026 property listing offers the whole building for lease and says the café name can be transferred, but no post reports a closure.
