Namsogwan Uyuk Dosakmyeon
남소관 우육도삭면 Namsogwan is the Korean reading of 南小馆 on the sign, 'little southern eatery'; uyuk dosakmyeon is beef soup with knife-shaved noodles, the house signature.

A Taiwanese beef-noodle and dim sum restaurant in an alley off Teheran-ro, two to three minutes on foot from Gangnam Station exit 11. Dumplings are folded at the ground-floor entrance, and most of the seating is upstairs. Posts list beef knife-shaved noodles at 11,000 won, dim sum such as xiaolongbao, shumai and crystal dumplings at 9,800, rice bowls at 10,800 and larger dishes like guobaorou or ganpung shrimp at 19,000–19,900; one couple paid 51,500 won for four dishes. Five posts mention ordering on a tablet at the table. We read 30 posts dated 15 September to 28 October 2026. Nine were about Sinbok Myeongwan, a different restaurant near Gangnam Station (Teheran-ro 4-gil 6) with an identical menu and prices, so we set them aside; of the remaining 21, 20 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You can see dumplings being folded before you even walk in; fifteen posts mention it, one describing the dumpling-making visible straight through the window. The claim that the chef is from Guangdong comes from the restaurant's own copy, so we did not count it.
- Ten posts call the place roomy, and one disagrees: arriving at opening time, that writer found the tables small and close together, too tight for three dishes between two people. Two posts describe a row of two-seat tables upstairs plus tables for groups.
- Nine posts say prices are low for Gangnam, around 10,000 won a main. One called meals affordable overall but found the shumai a little pricey. A solo diner noted that noodles plus one dim sum basket comes to over 20,000 won.
- Eight posts found the staff friendly: one says they topped up the pickles without being asked, another that they boxed leftover dumplings with tongs. Two disagree. One calls the staff somewhat unfriendly; the other had to ask twice for extra broth, by which time the noodles had gone soggy, and found the staff's loud chatter in Chinese distracting.

- Five posts are from solo diners; two ate alone mid-afternoon, at 3:30 and 3:50, both mentioning that the restaurant has no break time. Two posts came with friends, two with family and one with a fiancé.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 17 of 20 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 2 (of 20 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | 3 of 20 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 2 of 20 posts |
Most seating is on the second floor. Seventeen posts mention the upstairs room; the ground floor is mainly the dumpling station and has only a few tables. One post says solo diners are seated downstairs and groups upstairs, but another solo diner was sent upstairs, and one couple sat downstairs.
No post mentions an entrance step, wheelchair or stroller access, or a lift. The only clue is one post that climbed stairs to reach the second-floor restroom. This means nobody wrote about it, not that access is lacking.
Three posts say the restroom is inside the restaurant, and two of them that it is separated by gender, unlike the shared building restrooms common around Gangnam. One post says the restroom is on the second floor, reached by stairs.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 21 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waits vary. One post found it full around 7 pm, with a queue forming behind them; another walked straight in at 12:30 on a Sunday. A third found the ground floor full around noon at the weekend and went upstairs. No post says how long anyone waited.
- Service speed varies too. Two posts say food came quickly, one in under ten minutes; one waited 20 minutes for shumai; a regular said food is usually fast but the rice bowl was slow that day.
- One post says there are no reservations and seating is first come, first served; another copied 'no reservation system' from a listing. A third suggests groups book ahead, so the posts disagree. The only phone number is 02-363-5608, copied by one post.
- Eleven posts give the same hours, daily 11:00–22:20 with last orders at 22:00, but most copied them from a listing. No post mentions a closing day.
- All prices come from posts dated September–October 2026. We could not tell whether 'mala tofu' (three posts say rice comes with it) and 'mapo tofu' (one post says rice did not, and ordered a 1,000-won bowl) are the same dish.
- Sinbok Myeongwan near Gangnam Station exit 1 (Teheran-ro 4-gil 6, basement level) has the same menu and prices. One post about it says a staff member described it as the same business as Namsogwan and Cheonghwawon in Daehangno. That is hearsay, so we did not count it. Parking, wheelchair access and private rooms described at Sinbok Myeongwan do not apply here.
- Four posts share the same set of hashtags and the same title pattern, and the restaurant's slogans ('Taiwan in two minutes', '24 hours') recur across several posts. None discloses sponsorship. Two say they paid for their own meal, one attaching a receipt.
