CONSTANS

조선팰리스 콘스탄스 Joseon Paelliseu Konseutanseu Constans is a Latin word meaning steady or constant; the posts do not say why the hotel chose it.

Buffet · Gangnam-gu, Yeoksam-dong

Compiled from 8 blog posts read in fullSources →

Constans is the buffet on the 24th floor of the Josun Palace Seoul Gangnam hotel, in the Centerfield West tower at 231 Teheran-ro. You work your way around seafood, sushi, Chinese, grill and dessert counters, and order coffee and tea from your seat. In 2026 posts an adult pays 80,000 won for breakfast, 175,000 won for weekday lunch, 198,000 won for weekday dinner and 205,000 won on weekends and holidays. We read 30 posts dated December 29, 2024 to October 21, 2026. Eight describe eating here: three dinners, two lunches and three breakfasts (one post had both breakfast and dinner, and one does not say which meal). Four only introduce the place. The other 18 cover other restaurants, rooms or lounges in the same hotel, or are lists of many places, and we left them out.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Four posts mention the floor-to-ceiling windows and the city view. The Christmas 2024 diners got an early number in the entry line, were seated by the window, and called the 24th-floor view amazing. One post went on a rainy day and was disappointed by the view.
  2. Three posts say drinks are ordered with a QR code on the table; staff bring the tea or coffee to your seat. One post found the coffee poor but the tea drinks good.
  3. Three posts describe food made on the spot: pasta and jjamppong cooked on request, in smaller portions if you ask; eggs cooked to order at breakfast; and frying and noodle stations at the Christmas dinner.
  4. Two posts describe the breakfast hall's high ceiling, one noting red chairs and marble floors. The other says the room splits into a high-ceilinged window side and a side near the food, which was noisy and hectic.
2 more
  1. One post booked a private room: a family of eight used Room 2, and the post says the round Room 3 takes groups of more than ten.
  2. Three posts call it expensive: one says the buffet price is wicked, one says 130,000 won for breakfast for two is no small sum, and one paid 9,000 won for a single cola. One more post just suggests comparing prices first.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 5 (of 8 posts read)
Lift to the floor1 of 8 posts

Five posts mention the 24th floor, and the Christmas post took the elevator up. The hotel's main entrance being on basement level 1 comes from posts about the rooms.

We do not know about steps at the entrance or wheelchair and stroller access. That does not mean there are barriers; nobody wrote about it.

We do not know where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender; nobody mentioned them.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 12 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • The breakfast price has changed: a March 2022 stay paid 130,000 won for two, while posts from August 2026 on give 80,000 won per adult. No post says when it changed. Lunch and dinner prices come only from 2026 posts.
  • Posts disagree on the same dishes. On lamb chops, one found no gamey smell and one found them too tough. On snow crab, two found it full of meat and one found it bland and ate only one or two.
  • Only one post, a Christmas 2024 dinner, describes waiting: a long line at the door before the 17:30 opening, numbered tickets, and 1 hour 50 minutes to eat. A post from an 8 pm weekend dinner in August 2026 found it uncrowded.
  • One post came by subway, entered the West building and got lost until staff gave directions. The 10-minute walk from Yeoksam Station exit 8 comes from an introduction post copying official information.
  • Two visit posts give the same opening hours, both copied from official information: breakfast daily 06:30-10:00, weekday lunch 12:00-14:30, weekend and holiday lunch in two seatings (11:30-13:30, 14:00-16:00), dinner 17:30-21:30 Monday to Thursday, and two seatings (17:30-19:30, 20:00-22:00) Friday to Sunday and holidays. The Christmas 2024 dinner ran 17:30-19:20 and 19:50-22:00.
  • Three posts give the phone number 02-727-7690. The note that you can book through Naver or Catchtable is copied information; the August 2026 weekend dinner and the family private-room post both booked ahead.
  • Of the eight visit posts, one writer won the meal in an event and three say they paid themselves. Two of the four introduction posts are booking guides by the same author, who says they are based on public information, not a visit.
