황토감자탕 강남직영점 Pork-spine stew, around the clock

Data as of · Published ·

A pork-spine stew house in the first lane off the road that runs from exit 11 at Gangnam station towards Nonhyeon, about a hundred metres down. The registered name is the two-word one; the sign and the customers use the longer one with the branch on the end. It is open around the clock and does not close. The stew comes by the pot; for people eating alone or stopping at lunch there are single bowls — spine soup, blood-sausage soup, boiled-pork soup, short-rib soup — and a separate list for drinking. One writer says it has been running thirty-one years. The posts we read are six, between March and September 2026 — please read the note below on how little we know.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

These hours are counted from the posts we read. Shops change them without notice — check Naver Place before you go. Place — check hours

What sets it apart

  1. What the writers agree on is that it is unremarkable — and none of them means that as a complaint. One puts it directly: not a place you would cross Gangnam for, and all the more real a restaurant for that. Another: perfectly fine, food comes fast, fine for a meal. The description of the spine soup runs the same way — not special so much as the taste that says this is simply what the dish is. One writer's food arrived within five minutes. It reads as the place you eat at in the middle of Gangnam when you want to be fed and out without queueing.

The most ordered dish is geotjeori kimchi, kkakdugi (기본 반찬 — 겉절이 김치와 깍두기) — 4 of 5 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Parking

3 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot3 of 5 posts

There is nowhere to park. Two writers state flatly that there is no parking, and a third found out the hard way: she went looking for somewhere near her work trip *with* a car park, ended up in the Yeoksam Culture Park public car park, walked the rest, and paid ₩2,400 at what she calls a ruinous ₩300 per five minutes. Her verdict was plain — come by train or on foot. And it is close: one writer measures it at 164 metres from exit 11, two minutes' walk.

Getting there

Getting inside

Nobody says what floor it is on or whether there are steps at the door. The registered address gives a street number and no floor. When the six writers give directions they give the way *to* the place — the head of the lane, 164 metres from exit 11 — and stop there. How many steps, which side the door is on, whether the floor changes level inside: we do not know.

Nobody writes about getting in with a wheelchair or a pram. Neither word appears once in the six posts, and nobody describes a threshold, a ramp or a step. One writer lists elderly hikers among the customers, so older people do come — but that is not the same as saying there is no lip at the door. And since there is no parking, anyone coming here arrives on foot or off a train; no post describes that approach either.

Not one post mentions the lavatory. The word does not appear in any of the six — not whether it is inside the restaurant or out in the building's corridor, not whether it is separated by sex, not whether it is clean. In a place that never shuts, that also means we know nothing about what it is like at four in the morning. This is not an absence of facilities; it is an absence of anyone writing it down.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • We know very little here, and it is worth saying why. Thirty posts came back under this name and twenty-four of them were about somewhere else. Both halves of the name are ordinary Korean words. Fourteen were a single person posting 160,000- to 310,000-character screeds of etymology from two accounts in pairs, some titled '99999' or '@@@@@'. Four were about a different stew house in Apgujeong, caught because its building is the colour of ochre — which is what the first word of our name means. Two were about the beef restaurant in the basement of our building, caught on the shared address. The rest were listicles and diaries: a different restaurant called Ochre Yard, someone else's 500-degree ochre oven, a clay walking path on a mountain, an eel house in another city. Every number on this page therefore comes from six posts, and those six span only March to September 2026.
  • Nobody queued — but all six visits fall in daylight or early evening. One writer arrived at ten past twelve on a Friday and found plenty of room; another, at eight on a weekend evening, had expected Gangnam crowds and found it busy but not impossibly so. Against that, a third describes the room as packed, and lists who was in it: elderly hikers off the mountain, couples, people eating alone, office workers meeting after work, students. It reads as a place that fills without a line forming, but we could not confirm it.
  • It is open all night and nobody went at night. Two writers name the round-the-clock opening as the best thing about it — for a late meal near Gangnam, for the morning after, for coming off a long shift; for a hot bowl at any hour by exit 11. Neither of them went late. One came at eight on a weekend evening, the other in daylight. Of the six posts, not one was written by someone who walked in after ten. Whether there are seats at three in the morning, whether the whole menu is still going, who else is in there: we do not know. The drinking dishes — the bone pot, the trotter — were ordered by none of the six.
  • One bill came out wrong. In September 2026 a party of four checked the card record after leaving and found ₩65,000 charged for a ₩48,000 meal. They went back and it was corrected on the spot. The writer put it down to a slip by the server and says as much — anyone can make a mistake, nobody meant it — while also noting that without looking at the receipt they would have paid the ₩65,000. This is one post out of six. Whether it happens often or happened once, we do not know; the other five say nothing about the bill at all.
  • There are two telephone numbers and we cannot say which is current. The one this page carries comes from the business registry: 02-567-2914. Two posts written in September 2026 both give 02-557-8739 instead — different writers, not a digit apart. The registered number may be out of date, or both writers may have copied the same listing. Settling it means calling, so we have not changed it — if the number below does not answer, try 02-557-8739.
