Compiled from 28 blog posts read in fullSources →
Alex Luca is a Western restaurant in the basement of the Luca831 building, a short walk from Gangnam Station exit 4 toward Yangjae. The menu covers salads, pasta, risotto and steak, and brunch from 8 a.m. on weekdays. Pasta runs about 23,000 won and the ribeye 93,000 won. The burrata salad and the bisque pasta were each ordered in seventeen posts, more than any other dish. Many people used it as a place to bring their own wine for steak. We read 30 posts dated 9 July to 20 October 2026. We set aside 2 that were about other restaurants, and all 28 that remained describe actual visits. Three disclosed sponsorship and three said they paid their own way.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- This is a bring-your-own-bottle place. Twelve posts brought their own wine or whisky. Several mention getting an ice bucket and glasses, and in one, a server asked back, "Do you need wine glasses too?" when they asked for chilling. The free-corkage terms differ from post to post: most copied "three bottles of wine or one of whisky," while some copied "no bottle limit." The 50,000-won-per-bottle fee after the opening event is the restaurant's own notice, not something we could check.
- The room is large; seven posts said so. Many describe plants hanging from the ceiling and rattan lamps, round tables in the middle and partitioned sofa booths along the walls, and several remark on generous spacing between tables.
- Six posts saw a separate room at the back; one could not photograph it because large groups were using it. The partitioned wall booths are a different thing — one post explicitly said they are "not rooms" but feel private.
- Opinions on portions split. Seven posts found them large — salmon the size of two fists on the salad, a lasagna described as huge, a black ribeye said to be enough for three or four. One post found the pasta smaller than expected, and two said big eaters might find portions small.
3 more
- Five posts said prices were not a burden for Gangnam — "so-so for Gangnam," "surprisingly cheap." Two did not land on either side: one called the wine list pricey but the meal good value with free corkage, the other said prices might feel a little high.
- Seven posts arrived by subway or bus and walked in; they put it at three to five minutes from Gangnam Station exit 4. One left the car at home to drink wine and called that the right call.
- Six posts booked ahead; two mention a free ade for booking through Naver. One saw about a third of the large room marked reserved on a weekday evening.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | 16 of 28 posts |
|---|---|
| Lift to the floor | 12 of 28 posts |
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 2 (of 28 posts read) |
| Separate restrooms | 2 of 28 posts |
It is one floor below ground. Sixteen posts describe going down to it. Some found it dim even at midday; one noted there are no windows, so you rely on the lamp on each table, and photos come out looking like night mode.
You reach it by elevator. Twelve posts took it. The elevator is outside the building on the main road, not inside the lobby: one post warns not to wander around inside but to find the elevator on the outer wall, and others place it under the pilotis next to a flower shop, with the restaurant's name in small letters at the door.
No one wrote about a step at the door or arriving with a wheelchair or stroller. Two posts copied a "wheelchair accessible" label, but that is the listing, not something they saw. Access is by elevator; one post noted the stairs were marked no entry.
The toilets are the building's shared ones, just outside the restaurant, not inside it; two posts said so. Two posts saw separate men's and women's rooms, one noting a sink inside each stall.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Reports on pacing conflict. One post waited 30 minutes after the pasta for the steak, with the salad arriving after the pasta. Another said the pasta came in under five minutes and advised ordering one dish at a time. The "20–30 minutes for steaks" that many posts mention is copied from the menu.
- No post describes queuing. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is never a wait. Posts do mention a lobby with sofas outside the door, handy for waiting for friends.
- All opening hours are copied from listing blocks. Nearly every post gives weekdays 08:00–22:00, weekends 11:00–22:00, a 14:30–17:00 break with coffee and drinks still served, and last order at 21:00. Closing days conflict: one post copied "closed the first Sunday of each month," two copied "open every day."
- Prices for one dish disagree within the same period: five posts list the burrata salad at 19,500 won, two at 18,500 won, all by October. The ribeye is consistently 93,000 won, but posts give its weight as either 300 g or 400–500 g.
- Most posts give the phone number as 0507-1402-8327; one gives 0502-5554-1071. Several booked through Naver Booking.
- Several October posts follow the same template — the Luca831 parking search, the elevator to B1, a list of uses like blind dates, wedding-invitation dinners, wine meetups and office lunches, then burrata salad, a pasta and a burger or eggs Benedict in that order. Where they did not disclose sponsorship we counted them as undisclosed. The claim that it appeared on the dating show Heart Signal is hearsay in every post, so we did not rely on it.
