Yunjeong Pocha

윤정포차 Pocha is short for pojangmacha, the Korean tent-bar where people drink soju over hot dishes; Yunjeong reads as a personal name, and no post explains whose.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

Yunjeong Pocha is an old-style indoor tent bar in the food alley a one-to-three-minute walk from Exit 4 of Sinjeongnegeori Station (Line 2). The signature is dakdoritang, listed at 28,000 won in posts from March 2026 on, alongside versions with aged kimchi or scallion kimchi (the latter 36,000 won), spicy braised ribs at 36,000 won and a cheese rolled omelet at 19,000 won. You fetch your own water, soju and soft drinks from the fridge, and most tables finish with fried rice (3,000 won) in the leftover sauce. We read 30 posts dated April 2025 to October 2026; 26 describe actually eating there (one was about another bar, three were delivery, a list entry or a bare link).

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Grilled yellow croaker comes free once you order: 22 of the 26 visit posts mention it. It usually arrives as two fish with udon broth, kkakdugi and pickled radish; one post got three because the fish were small, another says the count follows the number of diners. A July 2026 post puts an extra serving at 4,000 won.
  2. Even the standard dakdoritang reads as hot: 10 posts call it spicy, and one says the broth alone is hotter than Shin Ramyun. Several note you can order it milder, though one found the mild version still a bit hot. One post said it looks fiercer than it tastes and stopped short of calling it spicy.
  3. Nine posts say the portions are large; one says a single pot is really a lot for two, another that the whole chicken suits three.
  4. Five posts say the chicken had no gamey smell; none said it did.
6 more
  1. Many writers are locals: 13 of the 26 visit posts say they had been before, some going back to their twenties.
  2. Tables fill after 7 p.m. Four posts waited or saw a line form; the only one to give a time waited 15 minutes behind three groups on a weekend around 7:30-8 p.m. Two Friday visitors arriving at 7:20 and 7:30 got the last free table. Four more only guessed there might be a wait.
  3. Three posts say food comes fast; one had the dakdoritang within five minutes.
  4. Easy by subway: five posts put it one to three minutes on foot from Exit 4 of Sinjeongnegeori Station, and one mentions a nearby bus stop.
  5. Four posts found the tables well spaced; one found them a little tight.
  6. Five posts went with friends, three with a partner, three in larger groups such as coworkers, and one family brought their primary-school daughter.

Parking

3 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park3 of 25 posts

There is no lot of its own; drivers use the paid public parking right in front. Three posts describe this from experience, one noting an attendant manages it; another only says the cars were packed tight. Copied info blocks also say 'no parking support', which fits.

Getting inside

Second floor1 of 25 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 25 posts read)
Toilet inside3 of 25 posts
Separate restrooms1 of 25 posts

Above the ground-floor hall there is seating a half-level up. Five posts mention an upper level; one says plainly there are a first and second floor, two call it 'floor 1.5' or 'half a floor up', and one saw stairs but couldn't tell if there was seating. One post states it is on the ground floor; none mention a basement.

No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller fits. That is unknown, not a no. One post mentions stairs up to the upper seating.

Three posts say the toilets are indoors. One places the women's on the ground floor and the men's on a half-level up, the only post to confirm separate toilets; a December 2025 post says the women's is a single small stall but freshly clean.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Cleanliness splits: three posts found the toilets clean, one found the walls and tables a bit sticky. Noise also splits one to one.
  • Prices have risen: dakdoritang was 26,000 won in December 2025 and 28,000 won from March 2026. The cheese omelet appears at 19,000 won in three posts and 18,000 won in two (one recalling a visit around 2023). Three posts call the prices low; two first balked at a dish's price, then changed their minds on seeing the portion.
  • Fifteen posts list the same hours, 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. But the four posts through June 2026 say 'every day', while the nine from July 2026 on add a Monday closure. Nearly all are copied listings, so we can't tell whether the closing day is new or only the listing changed; check before going on a Monday.
  • The phone number 02-2649-6598 appears in seven posts, mostly in copied info; no post says whether you can book.
  • One post says ordering alcohol is required; no other post mentions it.
  • One post left early because the street-side window seat sat right by an ashtray and filled with smoke. Several posts describe the folding glass front thrown open on mild evenings, so this can happen at the window tables.
