Oyang Hoe Chamchi
오양회참치 Hoe-chamchi means sliced raw tuna; Oyang is a proper name, the same one carried by the Oyang Susan building the restaurant sits in.

A tuna sashimi house in the lane off Sejong-daero near exit 6 of Gwanghwamun station. In the evening it serves sliced bluefin and tuna courses; at lunch office workers come for rice bowls, roe stew and cod stew. Four posts from May to December 2025 put the raw-fish rice bowl at 10,000 won, and it comes with a whole grilled saury or herring and braised kimchi. We read 14 posts from January 2025 to September 2026. One was about the restaurant next door and one only copied listing details, so 12 describe an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Five posts mention private rooms. The ground floor has bar seats, ordinary tables and rooms of several sizes. One writer recommends booking for a group at lunch because it makes a room more likely, and ate quietly in one that day.
- No post describes queuing at lunch, and two say there was no wait. One walked past long lines at other places on the way; another found the ground floor full but plenty of room upstairs. An August 2026 post noted the dining room filled up quickly at noon.
- Four posts call it good value. They point to the 10,000-won rice bowl coming with a whole grilled fish among the sides, and to soju and beer at 5,000 won. An August 2026 post lists cod stew at 17,000 won.
- Three posts mention celebrity autographs on the staircase wall; one places them on the stairs up to the second floor.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

The restaurant uses two floors. Three posts were seated upstairs, one because the ground floor was full and one who arrives around 11:50 and says he's always sent up. Two of them found the second floor quieter and less crowded.
Two posts describe the restaurant as ground floor plus second floor. One post's copied address reads '1st floor, basement 1', but nobody wrote about going downstairs.
Nobody says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pram can get in. One post mentions climbing 'the entrance stairs', but it's unclear whether that means steps at the door or the stairs to the second floor. No one mentions a lift.
None of the visit posts says where the toilets are or whether they are separate by gender; 'separate toilets' appears only in one copied listing. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there are none.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 9 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The two newest posts (August and September 2026) share title wording, the same '40-year tradition' and 'bigger, premium tuna' lines, the corkage note and the hashtag set, and one still has a review-count widget pasted in. Neither discloses sponsorship, but they look like they were written from the same template. Both describe a meal, so we counted them.
- Opening hours differ by post. Two posts up to May 2026 say weekdays until 23:00, and one of them gives Saturday separately as 21:00. The August and September 2026 posts say Monday to Saturday, 11:30 to 22:00, but both are copied listing blocks from the same template. Three posts agree it is closed on Sundays.
- Four posts say it's a short walk from Gwanghwamun station: take exit 6 and turn into the lane by the tourist information booth. Two put it at about five minutes on foot. Nobody describes getting there by bus.
- Almost everyone went with colleagues: teammates, co-workers, a former co-worker, a team leader. Two posts describe going as a large group and one went with her husband. No one brought children, so we know nothing about high chairs or kids' facilities.
- No visit post gives what the courses or tuna sashimi actually cost. All we have is one post saying courses start at 40,000 won a head and a copied listing showing 50,000 to 120,000 won. We don't know what a dinner actually came to.
- Three posts give the phone number 02-736-1001, all from copied info blocks. Nobody describes booking by phone, though one writer recommends reserving for a group at lunch.
