Ellim Deulkkae Sujebi Kalguksu
엘림들깨수제비칼국수 Elim is an oasis named in the Old Testament, and deulkkae sujebi kalguksu means perilla-seed soup with hand-torn dough and knife-cut noodles. The torn-dough sujebi is no longer on the menu; only the noodles remain.

A perilla-seed noodle house at the National Rehabilitation Center crossroads in Suyu-dong, Gangbuk, about an eight-minute walk from Gaori station on the Ui-Sinseol line. Three things on the menu: perilla kalguksu at 10,000 won, boiled pork at 14,000 and pork dumplings at 6,000. Noodle orders start with barley rice and come with a few slices of pork; two or more portions arrive in one big shared bowl. Sujebi is in the name but no longer sold. We read 30 posts dated 18 June to 19 October 2026: 3 were about other places, 27 about this one, and 15 describe an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect a wait. Eight of the 15 visit posts waited, giving about 20 minutes, just under 30, 30, and an hour (arriving at 12:30 on a Saturday). One found 15 parties ahead at 2:30 on a weekday afternoon. One says you sign the waiting list by hand inside the door. One walked straight in at an off-peak evening hour.
- Nine of the ten posts that mention portions call them large; one found three portions not especially big. Two say the barley rice is small, and one says it can be refilled.
- Six posts say the pork has no gamey smell; one notes the free slices are leaner than the full plate.
- No alcohol: three posts say so, one adding that it used to be sold. Two posts credit this for the quick table turnover.
3 more
- Takeaway is available, per five posts. The cook-at-home noodle kit is 16,000 won for two (one post says no single portions); the kimchi and dried radish are sold separately at 7,000 won each.
- Parking is two or three spaces out front: four posts say 2, 2, two-or-three and 3, and one regular has never seen them empty. One squeezed in; two warn of tickets on the main road. The advice to use the rehabilitation-center public lot comes from the shop's own posts and guides.
- Two posts say you order one bowl per person.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
2 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post describes floors from experience; one only says it looks like a converted single-storey house.
Nobody mentions steps at the door or wheelchair or stroller access — unknown, not absent. Two posts mention high chairs.
No visit post mentions the toilet; one guide lists it as indoors, which we have not counted.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 12 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The pork runs out: four posts found it sold out. Two report a board listing batches at 11:20, 12:40 and 17:00, and one says late arrivals may not get the free slices either.
- Opening hours appear in 8 visit posts, all in header info blocks that may be copied. Seven give an 11:20 opening, seven say closed Sundays, six give a 15:00–17:00 break. Closing is 20:30 in four posts, 20:20 and 20:00 in one each; one post alone says 11:30–21:00.
- Prices are identical across June–October 2026 posts (10,000 won a bowl). No one calls it expensive; six posts say it is cheap for what comes with it. A meal is 10,000 won, plus 14,000 for a plate of pork.
- One post says seating used to be on the floor but is now at tables, and another says all seats are tables. Several describe an old converted house split into several rooms.
- Two posts describe getting there: one by bus, one an eight-minute walk from Gaori station. The '467 m from exit 2' figure is copied across posts.
- Four posts went with family, one alone, two by car; the solo diner felt comfortable eating alone.
- The phone number 02-996-2583 appears in several posts, but none says whether bookings are taken; people sign up on site.
- We did not count three promotional posts written by the restaurant itself or the templated guide posts; the customer quotes and parking tips in them are the shop's own words.
