Jibu Gopchang is a Korean-beef offal house on the ground floor between a fried-chicken shop and a tteokbokki place, up the lane by the Olive Young, two hundred metres from exit 2 at Sindaebang. The sign and the listing both add '& naengsam'. What marks it out is the tongue that comes alongside the small intestine, abomasum and large intestine; there is also frozen pork belly for whoever cannot face offal, and a spread of grilling beef. Most people order the mixed platter, and the owner cuts and grills it for you at the table. It opens at four in the afternoon and closes in the small hours. The same owner runs an izakaya, Jibu, round the corner. The posts we read run from September 2025 to September 2026.

What sets it apart
- The owner grills the whole thing for you. Seven writers say so: he names the cuts, moves each one onto your plate as it comes good, cuts it to a bite, and keeps the vegetables turning. Four were told how to eat it — the scallop wrapped in brisket, the abomasum in cumin, the intestine in wasabi soy. Three say they never had to think about the fire and could just talk, and two conclude it is the right place to come straight from work. Three also note the meat arrives part-cooked, so it is not long on the grill.
- Eight writers remark that, for an offal house, it is clean. One puts it plainly: usually there is a slippery floor and that smell, and here there is neither. Nine mention the soft, deliberate lighting — but five of those are copy with no order and no price in them, and we left those out of the count. Eight of the people who actually ate here still say it. Two mention songs playing off a projector or screen, and two the otter soft toys and bits and pieces about the place.
- Write a receipt review and you get a bottle. Four writers mention it, and it is not a soft drink but soju or beer — one reckons that is five thousand won saved. We did not count this as sponsorship: it is open to anyone who walks in. Separately, two writers were given something extra for nothing — one a better piece of tongue, one a plate of brisket.
- The mixed platter starts at two portions. Two writers say so; one of them ordered three because of it. Not one of the twenty-three came alone. Twelve came with a friend, a partner or family, and two came to a reunion or a group dinner. Nobody mentions a minimum on the single orders — ₩21,000 for small intestine, ₩22,000 for abomasum, ₩18,000 for large.
- It is at street level on the road, and twelve writers give directions. Out of exit 2 at Sindaebang, across the crossing, straight on, then into the lane at the Olive Young: six of them say it in almost the same words, and place it between the fried-chicken shop and the tteokbokki shop. Three to five minutes on foot, around two hundred metres. One writer, self-declared bad with directions, found it without trouble.

There is no car park — and nobody has parked. Two writers report what they saw: one that there is no dedicated space and people use the residential lanes or a public car park, one that drivers should use the Sindaebang station car park, four or five minutes' walk. The bare words 'no parking' in the other posts are a line lifted from the listing. Nobody says what the public car park costs, or whether there is room in it at night. All twenty-three came on foot or by train.

Nobody has said whether you can get in with a wheelchair or a pushchair. Two writers place it at street level, but not one has looked for a step at the door. The room itself sounds manageable — one calls it long and narrow with generous gaps between tables — but the threshold we do not know. One writer brought a child; nobody mentions a high chair.

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The hours got longer — this is not a disagreement. Four posts from October to December 2025 give 16:00–01:00, last orders 00:30; nine from January 2026 on give 16:00–02:00, last orders 01:30. An hour later at the end. The closing day we cannot vouch for: two posts from February 2026 say it shuts every other Monday, nobody says which Mondays, and the other twenty-one say nothing about it at all. One post from November 2025 adds that although the listing says four, the place actually opens at noon — and no other post says this. If you are thinking of a Monday, or of lunchtime, ring: 02-866-9995.
- Five of the thirty are strings of the restaurant's own marketing copy, and we left them out of the count. All five repeat the same lines — hand-trimmed Korean beef offal, the 300g platter, the mood lighting, the honest prices and the friendly service — and none of them says what was ordered or what it cost. One, from September 2026, shares whole sentences with one from April. Another gives the opening hours as noon to midnight where twenty others say four in the afternoon. Three posts declare a sponsorship — one says so in its first line, two bury `#sponsored` at the head of a hashtag block. Two insist they paid their own way. Two further posts turned out to be about a differently named offal house in another neighbourhood, and they were the only two that said anything about a lavatory.
- Not one post mentions the lavatory — not whether it is inside or out in the building, not whether it is shared. In a place where people drink until two in the morning. There was one mention among the first thirty, but it belonged to a similarly named place in another neighbourhood that had been swept in by the name, and carrying its long walk to the lavatory over to this address would simply be false.
