Yukjeon Gukbap's Seongsu Station branch sits on the ground floor of a building on Achasan-ro, by Exit 4 of Seongsu Station. The signature is a red beef-and-radish soup with a slice of pan-fried egg-battered beef on top (11,000 won). There is also plain beef soup (10,000 won), a clear gomtang (11,000 won), cold or spicy buckwheat noodles with yukjeon (11,000 won), and sets that add a single serving of yukjeon or meatballs (16,500 to 17,000 won). In the evening people drink over tripe hotpot, mixed jeon and tangy squid. You order and pay on a kiosk at the table, and kimchi, radish kimchi and pickled onion are refilled from a self-service bar. We read 30 posts from March 2025 to September 2026; 27 are about this branch, and 25 describe actually eating here.

Rows without a count: 2 of 15 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Side dishes are kimchi, radish kimchi and pickled onion, and you refill them yourself from a self-service bar in the middle of the room. Of the 25 posts describing a meal, 14 mention it. Some add that aprons, small plates, scissors and tongs are self-service too; one reminds readers not to leave food behind.
  2. Twelve posts ordered and paid on a kiosk or tablet at their table. One notes you can leave out the cucumber and chili paste on the noodles when ordering.
  3. Twelve posts call the room spacious. Several went to eat alone at the long bar counter facing the windows or at single seats; one was glad not to have to take a four-person table alone, another felt a little exposed eating in full view of the street.
  4. Four posts say the food comes fast, one likening it to fast food and another saying it arrived within minutes. One post found the jeon arrived first and the noodles took a little longer.
3 more
  1. No post reports waiting. Three say they were seated right away; one found a group waiting outside but walked straight to an empty table for two. Lunchtime can be nearly full, though one post says turnover is quick.
  2. Nine posts describe generous portions: soups full of meat and vegetables, plenty of beef in the gomtang, and a yukjeon-and-meatball plate that felt large for the price.
  3. Five posts say the tripe hotpot, yukjeon or soup beef had no off smell; none say otherwise.

Parking

Posts saying you can park1 of 23 posts

Only one post actually parked, in front of the building in the early hours. The line about free parking in the lot to the right after 7 pm on weekdays and all day on weekends is copied from the listing, so we did not count it. Another post only guessed that parking would be hard.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 23 posts read)

No one mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One post only notes it is on the ground floor of a building on the main road. That means unknown, not absent.

No one says whether the restroom is inside or separated by gender; one post simply rated it 3 out of 5.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 25 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Posts split on heat: two call the soup spicy, four say it is mild enough for people who avoid spice. Saltiness splits two to two as well.
  • One July 2026 post, from a long-time regular, found the noodles greasy with sesame oil and the bulgogi over-peppered, and felt the food had changed. Two other posts found the yukjeon not greasy. No one else reports a change in taste.
  • A March 2025 post saw the yukjeon beef soup, gomtang and spicy noodles go from 10,000 to 11,000 won, and every later post gives 11,000 won. Sets run 16,500 to 17,000 won, tripe hangover soup 13,000, squid salad 20,000 and the yukjeon-and-meatball plate 22,000.
  • Fifteen posts give opening hours, all copied from the listing. Ten say only that it is open 24 hours; three say it closes at 10 pm on Sunday and reopens at 8 am on Monday; one gives 8 am to midnight daily and one says 24 hours except Monday. Three say it never closes. Check before going between Sunday night and Monday morning.
  • Seven posts list the phone number, 02-497-3731, but none mention booking ahead.
  • Of the 25 posts describing a meal, 13 say they paid themselves and 12 say nothing either way; none disclose sponsorship. One follows a template that repeats its title three times.
