Yetgol Gamjatang
옛골감자탕 Yetgol reads as 'old village' (yet, old + gol, village or valley), and gamjatang is a pork-backbone stew.
Compiled from 23 blog posts read in fullSources →
Yetgol Gamjatang serves pork-backbone stew and single bowls of haejangguk in an alley off Seongsu Station exit 1 (Achasan-ro 7-gil 9-2). The stew runs 35,000 / 40,000 / 45,000 won for small, medium and large; the single bowl is 10,000 won, and every pot of stew comes with sujebi dough flakes. Several posts say an elderly couple runs it; one adds their son. Posts from late summer 2026 say it was moving nearby at the end of September, but nobody has written about the new place yet, so everything below describes the old site. We read 30 posts from February 24 to September 23, 2026; 26 of them record an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Of the twenty posts that mention portions, nineteen call them large. One couple shared a small pot and left too full for the fried rice; another says a small with added noodles could feed three. Bone counts reported: four, four to five, five to six, six to seven.
- Twelve posts say the owners are kind — one was greeted on a hot day with thanks for making the trip; another notes the seaweed side is weighted down with a slice of raw onion so it won't blow away.
- Three posts say they walked straight in — around 5 pm on a weekend, around 8 pm on a Sunday, and a weekend evening. None mention waiting, and one says the food came quickly. Others did find five tables already taken on a weekday evening, or the room nearly full late at night.
- Nine posts say in their own words that it is a short walk from Seongsu Station — two, three, under five minutes. All of this is for the old site.
4 more
- Of posts that say who came along, five went with a spouse or partner and three with friends — one brought a foreign friend trying gamjatang for the first time.
- Six posts call it cheap, mostly comparing the 10,000-won bowl with Seongsu lunch prices.
- One post says Onnuri gift certificates, Seoul Pay and Alipay are accepted.
- Two posts noticed foreign diners in the room.

Parking

One post came by car: no parking at or in front of the shop, so they used the HausD Sejong Tower garage nearby (first 30 minutes free, then 2,000 won per 30 minutes). Posts that merely copied 'no parking' from listings were not counted.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 23 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 23 posts read) |
Just one post says the shop is on the ground floor; nobody has described the floor of the new site.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller — that means unknown, not absent.
Only one post mentions the toilet: outside, under the stairs down the alley to the right. Nobody says whether it is separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Ten posts from August 10 to September 23, 2026 say the shop was moving nearby at the end of September — two minutes away, across the street, deeper into the alley; one gives Achasan-ro 7-gil 18, ground floor. Nothing has been written about the new site yet, so seating, toilets, parking and hours may no longer hold.
- Three posts call it clean; one recommends it only to those willing to overlook cleanliness.
- Two posts call it roomy, three call it small; the latter counted six to seven, seven, and eight tables.
- Sixteen posts give the same hours — daily 11:00 to midnight, last order 23:00 — but mostly as copied info blocks, and for the old site. One post was told by the owner that on weekends they sometimes open only at 2 pm.
- All prices come from June to September 2026, before the move; we don't know whether they carried over.
- Many posts list the phone number 02-462-0972, but nobody says whether it survives the move or whether reservations are taken.
- Two posts disclose sponsorship through Review Note, and eight carry the same three hashtags. Claims of '30 years in business' and 'kimchi, radish kimchi and ssamjang made in-house' recur in nearly the same order; we treat them as the shop's own line, not as evidence.
