Uyakko Kalguksu Pajeon

우야꼬 칼국수 파전 Uyakko is Gyeongsang dialect for 'what am I to do?'; kalguksu is knife-cut noodle soup and pajeon is a scallion pancake.

A pojangmacha-style pub right outside Exit 3 of Seongsu Station (116 Achasan-ro) that sets out street tables in front. The menu is long — savoury pancakes, stews, grilled fish, stir-fries, noodles, dried snacks — and prices in visiting posts run from 8,000 won for kalguksu to 25,000 won for whelk salad, with pancakes around 16,000 won. Six posts came here after eating elsewhere first, usually ordering one or two dishes with draught beer or soju. Posts from July 2026 on give the hours as 15:00–01:30; earlier ones say 15:30–01:00. We read 17 posts from 5 October 2025 to 3 October 2026: 12 describe a visit, 3 only introduce the place, and 2 turned out to be about other businesses.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Eleven of the 12 visiting posts mention the street tables out front. One, on a rainy Friday in October 2025, describes a canopy over about ten outdoor tables, with more set out when it is dry. If it gets cold you move inside: five posts mention indoor seating — one counts eight round tables, another describes steel round tables, and one says that in midsummer the air-con runs with the folding doors open.
  2. Five posts say a bowl of bean-sprout soup arrives free when you sit down. One calls it spicy, another a kimchi version, and that writer felt it meant you didn't need to order a separate soup.
  3. Five posts say the portions are large: the 18,000-won meat patties were 'a huge amount', the whelk salad came with enough noodles to fill two, the kimchi pancake was enormous, and the 20,000-won fish-cake soup was pricey but full. The silkworm-pupa soup was plentiful but bland.
  4. You have to order enough food. One group wanted only ramyeon but was told a main dish was required, so they took pork cartilage; a party of four ordered two dishes and was asked to make it three. Each is a single post, so we don't know the exact rule.

  1. Eight posts say it sits right by Exit 3 of Seongsu Station; one writer walked to the last train in about a minute.
  2. Three posts call the prices cheap or reasonable, one finds them a bit high, and one was puzzled by an 18,000-won dish until it saw the portion.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 3 (of 12 posts read)
Separate restrooms2 of 12 posts

No post describes the floor or any stairs from experience; the '1st floor' in the address is copied from the listing.

We don't know about steps at the entrance or wheelchair and stroller access — not because there are none, but because nobody wrote about it. One post notes the outdoor seats are folding plastic stools.

Three posts say the toilet is not inside the shop. Where it is varies by post: one says inside the same building, one outside the building, one in the building next door. Two say it is split into men's and women's. One adds that you take a key from the shop and should bring your own tissue; another says the old building's toilet was not in great shape.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 15 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices seem to have gone up: grilled mackerel was 15,000 won in a March 2026 post and 18,000 won in a June one. With one post each, we don't know when it changed or whether other dishes rose too. No post gives a per-person total.
  • The opening hours depend on when the post was written. Eight visiting posts from October 2025 to June 2026 say Monday–Saturday 15:30–01:00; three posts from July 2026 on (two visits, one listing) say 15:00–01:30. All say it is closed on Sundays. Most of these were copied from the listing, so we don't know exactly when the hours changed.
  • Only one post describes waiting: on a rainy Friday night in October 2025 it queued a long time for an outdoor table and said an hour is normal in dry weather. Another only passes on hearsay that you wait when it is full. The other ten visiting posts say nothing about waiting.
  • All six posts that say who they came with came with friends. None came with family, children or alone — one writer saw families there, but nobody wrote from that experience.
  • Six posts copied the phone number 0507-1314-6302. Nobody says they booked a table; one only copied a note that it works on a walk-in waiting list.
  • We treat the same-named shop at 41 Seongsuil-ro 8-gil as a second branch, not a move: an October 2025 post mentions a second branch with only about two outdoor tables, and posts about 116 Achasan-ro continue into September 2026. An October 2026 'best street pubs' list and an August 2026 general write-up show no sign of a visit, so we didn't count them.
