Grill house
Ushiya
우시야 성수점 Usiya Seongsu-jeom Ushiya reads like Japanese for a beef house (ushi means cow); one post notes the sign carries the characters 牛室, 'cow room'.
Compiled from 21 blog posts read in fullSources →
Ushiya Seongsu is a hanwoo charcoal-grill course restaurant in a converted house on an alley off Ttukseom-ro 9-gil, between Seongsu and Seoul Forest stations. Each seat gets a charcoal brazier and staff grill the cuts one by one and plate them for you. Courses run 99,000 (A), 79,000 (B) and 59,000 won (C) per person, starting with beef tongue, moving through grilled oxtail and tripe, and ending with rice and hanwoo braised with aged kimchi. We read 30 posts from January to 4 October 2026; 23 of them record an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You don't grill. Twenty of the 23 visit posts say staff cooked everything from start to finish, and one says each table gets its own server. Several mention being told which cut goes with salt, wasabi or ponzu, and gloves are handed out so you can eat the oxtail by hand.
- Most seats are at a counter wrapped around the open kitchen, with separate tables further in. Six posts mention the tables, two of them saying there are just two four-person tables, so groups are told to book ahead. One post says the inner tables are floor seating; no one else says so.
- It's about a ten-minute walk into the alleys from Seongsu Station exit 3. Three posts said it was an easy walk, and one placed it between Seoul Forest and Ttukseom stations. The 727 m figure in several posts is copied from the map listing.
- This is a book-ahead place: 12 visit posts booked through Naver or CatchTable, and they say the seats were already laid when they arrived. You're asked to request a high chair when booking, and one couple got seaweed soup after mentioning a birthday.
6 more
- Mostly a place for two: 8 of the 23 visit posts went with a spouse or partner, often for a birthday or anniversary. Three went with family (two with children), two with friends and one as a work dinner.
- Both posts by families with children used a high chair; the one with an eight-month-old also got separate baby cutlery. The other warns there is only one high chair, so ask for it when you book.
- Prices held steady from January to September 2026: 99,000, 79,000 and 59,000 won per person. Four posts called it reasonable for an omakase. À la carte cuts come in 100 g portions for two or more; rib was 33,000 won per 100 g on one menu photo and 32,000 in another post. Draft beer is 9,000 won.
- Opinions on quantity differ. Three posts said they left full, one stuffed to the end. One big-eating couple found course A a little short, and another diner said it suited the women but not her hungry husband.
- Off-flavours barely come up. Four posts say the tongue or tripe had no gamey smell. One post found the braised-oxtail broth in course A slightly smelly and greasy.
- It is one of several branches: three posts had eaten at the Gangnam or Yangjae branches, or noted the chain has many locations.

Parking
3 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

There is no parking at the restaurant; three posts say so from their own visit. Several suggest buying a pass in advance for nearby paid lots (Amano Musinsa S1, Ace High-end Seongsu Tower). The 5,000-won night pass and 6,000-won three-hour pass come from copied info boxes.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
It's about a ten-minute walk into the alleys from Seongsu Station exit 3. Three posts said it was an easy walk, and one placed it between Seoul Forest and Ttukseom stations. The 727 m figure in several posts is copied from the map listing.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 3 of 21 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 4 (of 21 posts read) |
| Step at the entrance | 3 of 21 posts |
The address says ground floor, but you go up stairs. Three posts mention climbing stairs, and three say the restaurant is on the second floor of a residential building; one describes the entrance as half a flight up. No one describes it as below ground.
No one went in with a wheelchair or stroller, and no one mentions a lift. Even the family with an eight-month-old talks only about the high chair. With three posts mentioning stairs it may be difficult, but nobody has confirmed either way.
No post says whether the toilet is inside or whether it is split by gender. That means we don't know, not that it's missing.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-09-19 | 2 posts in one day |
|---|---|
| 2026-09-18 | 3 posts in one day |
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No one wrote about queuing, and no one says whether you can walk in without a booking. The line about there being no waiting area inside appears only in the paid-post batch and in copied booking notes.
- Corkage terms differ between posts, so check before you go. Two posts from July and August 2026 say it was free, and one of them brought wine. Two September posts copied a fee of 20,000 won for wine or sake and 40,000 for whisky, and a 29 September post mentions a one-free-bottle promotion. All agree corkage doesn't apply to drinks bought in-house.
- Nine posts give the same opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 17:00 to 23:00, weekends 12:00 to 23:00, closed Mondays. Most of these are copied info boxes. One post from 29 September 2026 lists 12:00 to 23:00, Tuesday to Sunday. Nobody mentions last orders or a mid-afternoon break.
- Eight posts give the phone number as 0507-1369-8114; one gives 02-6338-8114. Most people booked through Naver or CatchTable.
- Five posts published on 18 and 19 September 2026, all disclosing payment, follow the same template: the same sentences in the same order, no cuts, no prices, and a claim that diners grilled their own meat, which contradicts 20 other posts. We didn't count them as visits. We also left out one post that gives a different address.
