우드파이어 파로 Faro is Spanish for lighthouse — the house says it wants people to gather around its wood fire the way ships steer toward a lighthouse.

A wood-fire grill and wine bar in a lane off Seongdeokjeong 21-gil, between Seongsu station and Ttukdo Market. It opened in April 2026 and serves wood-grilled chicken leg (26,000 won), pork Wellington (32,000), black cod (28,000), bone-in pork loin (38,000) and pastas, with wine or a 9,000-won highball. We read 27 posts dated 14 April to 2 October 2026. Eleven are about this place and ten describe an actual meal; the rest are about other restaurants with 'wood fire' in the name.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Seven posts watched the cooking, either from the bar right in front of the fire or through a large window from the tables. One diner at the bar watched the cauliflower and meat being grilled and sliced over and over. Another notes there is no fire show, just the occasional flare from the stove.
- There are both bar seats and tables. Eight posts describe a bar by the entrance and a separate table room further in. One notes a single group table for up to six; another found the table chairs hard enough to be uncomfortable over a long meal.
- Each person has to order a drink. Three posts state the one-drink-per-person rule; non-alcoholic options include a peach highball and a mocktail.
- Three posts mention booking. One booked the same day on CatchTable with a 30,000-won deposit, and says the room was nearly full by 7:40 pm on a weekday except for two bar seats.
1 more
- Grill dishes take time: one post says most take about 30 minutes; another says there can be a short wait because everything is cooked to order.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 2 (of 10 posts read) |
|---|
We don't know the floor. The address says ground floor, but no post describes going up or down stairs to get in.
We don't know whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. Nobody wrote about it, which is not the same as saying there is no problem.
The toilet is outside the restaurant: two posts say you step out of the building to use it, and one found it clean. Nobody says whether it is split by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 11 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- One post describes the walk: about 10 minutes from Seongsu station exit 3 toward Ttukdo Market, down a lane where the writer wasn't sure at first it was the right place. Nobody mentions buses.
- No post describes queuing. One writer was the first customer; another was let in just before 5 pm. We don't know how long a walk-in might wait.
- Posts split one to one on noise: one heard group conversations and the stove, the other found the back room quiet enough to talk. On size, two posts say it is not large and one says it is roomier than it looks from outside.
- Only one post gives the price of a whole meal: 98,000 won for two people (salad, bolognese, chicken leg, a glass of wine and a highball). Opinions on value differ — one post calls it on the pricey side, another found the wine cheap for Seongsu.
- Seven posts list the same hours: 5 pm to 1 am, until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays, closed Mondays. All but one copied them from the restaurant's listing, and nobody gives a last-order time.
- Five posts about this place appeared between 23 April and 1 May 2026, just after it opened. One says the restaurant provided the meal; another repeats date-night phrasing without any prices or dishes. We counted them, but only two posts say the writer paid.
